Mantle seems very buggy on this for me. Getting half the fps that I am with dx11.

Only played a little bit of DA:O ( I know I should play more) and never touched DA:2 but I can't believe how much I am enjoying this. Having to look on wiki etc about a couple of things but its by far the best RPG I've played in a very long time.

Anyone running it on a GTX970? If so, is performance up to scratch?

I'm running on a GTX 970, everything maxed out with 2xmsaa at 1920x1080 I'm getting 90ish fps. It's beautiful.
There's one thing that is annoying me though. I'm getting stutter in cut scenes only, I've tried adding -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+ to the short cut but it doesn't seem to help...

Also keyboard/mouse controls aren't bad but it looks like it is going to be better to play this with a controller.

edit: strike that, I don't like the UI change so I've gone back to keyboard and mouse. I'll probably go game pad when I play on the projector.

I'm not sure whether to get this atm

I played DA:O loads and loved it but I'v never played DA2 and also never really got into skyrim

I've watched some streams + videos of this and it really looks like DA2 + skyrim put together :confused:

The graphics look pretty but some of the fighting / tactics seem a bit boring.

Crafting is ridiculously overpowered!... No chance I will find anything anywhere near as powerful as the daggers I am using atm

Total biscuit wasn't even getting 90fps with 980 sli when running ultra with 2xmsaa. Check out his video. So amazed your getting that on just one 970

Having a load of path finding issues in Emprise du Lion, starting battles only to find my three companions are stuck miles away. Though when I die I get resurrected back at them.

I'm going by what it's saying on afterburner, so yes I am getting that. Maybe the profile for SLI isn't finished. He should have tried disabling it.

Edit: Actually looking at it I've seen it vary from 60 to 90.

Edit2: Around hinterlands it has dropped to around 60ish on average.

Bit of a warning to everyone

When you talk to varic and it says

Default champion or customize champion referring to hawke

If you choose customize it changes the voice of your character from what it was eg From the deep american voice to the British high pitched voice

I feel you, I've had access since Monday and still not done more than an hour on a char!

Warrior i got bored of very quickly, felt slow and cumbersome.

You've barely scratched the surface! Need at least about 5hours to open up some more talents then combat becomes very fun indeed, and the quests are amongst the best I've ever seen in an RPG it's the first time ever I've gone out of my way to do all the side quests because you never know what they're going to throw up.

were you looking at the sky when it was 90

Its not the game im bored with as like you say i've barely scratched the surface. I just can't settle on a class, i'm also obsessive over character creation and the hair just annoys me beyond belief in this game. I've made about 20 characters lol.

I think i'll play warrior as it seems the most fitting to save the world, but then i dont overly enjoy the combat.

So then i'll make a mage, all the males look naff and i can never bring myself around to playing female.

morrigan and her God baby with the Warden!

Gonna complete it tonight and save some for after. I still have 4 whole areas I haven't even been to!
