Dragon Age Inquisition

Im 80 hours in other than the party chat bug, have had 1 glitch. When a fight started up my character was stiff in a jesus pose but still moved without animation. Im a graphics w***e as well so Im always looking around at the enviroment. Some people will have them and its possible some will not so it dosnt mean he is ignoring anything :)

We've already responded to each other and moved on each explaining our positions :)

Made a sizeable dent in this on the weekend.

I'm new to this franchise and was just wondering if people constantly rotate the companions and keep them all kitted out with the best possible gear? I must admit I've neglected the people I'm not using and have tended to stick with the same 4 for ease more than anything.

I stick with the same 4,however I try to take people to missions where I think they may have more input. For instance-take the warden to any grey warden missions or make sure the character from who I got the side mission gos on said mission :)

I never took Blackwall for anything. he is a hobo.

I always laughed when he says "I would have liked to seen it." when you tell him about your warden finds.

Cassandra and Solas are pretty much always in my squad... By far the 2 best characters in the game. I rotate the last place between Dorian and Blackwall. Dorian is completely one-dimensional, and honestly not a very well written character but he is one of my favourites to have around.

Iron bull is just annoying, and I find very hard to keep alive most of the time. Sera is, to my mind, the only companion in any Bioware game I don't bother recruiting.

WHAT!!!! Dont **** off the missus bud, shes my lesbian inquisitors love interest :D

OK bud, just saying Ive heard this a lot. Some people are claiming they havnt seen a bug in over a 100 hours and some are saying its unplayable. I expect for most its somewhere in the middle :)

Yup totally agree with you mate, I feel I'm talking more about the bugs than the actual game itself now and that shouldn't be the case as it's a great game.

Come on folks what about the ending scene after the credits?!

Solas is the Elven wolf god?! Am I right in thinking Flemeth killed him and possessed him?

Might want to fix those tags.:p

Personally the only bug I really noticed was constant repetition of party dialogue, so much so I had to get rid of Varric and Solas as they wouldnt shut up repeating the same conversation. :)

What group are you guys running with and how do you go about taking down dragons?

Im typically using Cassandra as the tank (blackwall has an annoying wall type ability that blocks your own parties damage!) with a rotation of basically anything. I like having Dorian as I like his character and im quite enjoying Sera atm but ive found Iron Bull to be pretty awesome at damage. Either way however I struggle against dragons!

Iron bull has some kind of amazing reaver ability but I never really looked in to it. It is supposed to make him brilliant though. I struggle to keep him alone most of the time(must be the way I use two-handed warrior, as I have the same problem with Sten in Origins!

For dragons it depends on what class I am. If I am a warrior, it is easy to solo a dragon if you have the right abilities and armour. A basic party I used for dragons though was myself as a dual-wielding rogue or warrior, Solas for his barrier/revive, either Blackwall or Cassandra as they are basically invincible and pretty much always end fights with the max health and guard.

The AI is really bad though, so most mages/rogues will not last dragon fights without reviving a ton!... And Varric for some reason will never stay at range no matter what you set.

Looked like it was the other way around to me. Solas says that it was all his fault, but that the People (meaning elves) still need him. I think he took Mythal's spirit from Flemeth, who died as a result (her life was being artificially extended my Mythal.) Could be the other way around though.

I have to agree with the AI thing. Its awful!

My only disappointment with the game is how very limited the AI seems to be. For example what is the point in giving them extra potions if they wont pop them as they go, I shouldn't have to switch characters just to activate a stone skin potion or a regenerate potion.

Also what the hell is with almost everything being AoE? Its impossible to play the game with friendly fire on (as it should be) because you just kill your party over and over.

I do miss the complex commands you could give the AI from Origins. Being able to state what to do to whom at what point was great, now I have to worry every second where certain members are standing and then move them if their in the wrong place.

And then there are some actions that they simply refuse to do, namely revive fallen companions. Doesn't matter how much you click them to revive they outright ignore it.

It can be pretty frustrating for sure!

Im not sure however im utilising my classes as I should be.

Warriors rely on guard which is ok but not entirely amazing (at least how ive set up cassandra it isnt) and then the mages get a barrier which decays pretty fast and doesn't do much else, what are the rogues meant to survive on? Ive resorted to using Varric/Sera because Cole is a retard and just outright dies as soon as something takes a swipe at him. At least Varric/Sera have a slim chance to be saved before they die.

Im thinking of trying to set up a mage knight-templar thingy and trying to go for a full 4 mage party. That -might- be interesting. Just need to unlock the class (gotta find the writing!).

Do you mean the book for the specialisation? If so, they are by your companions who have that spec. So Knight Enchanter would be Vivienne. Champion by Blackwall etc.
