Dragon Age Inquisition

Hmm, I'd best get a move on and actually complete the main game then :)

Unless of course it's like some of the very annoying Mass Effect DLCs where if you'd already completed the game you had to go back to an earlier point to play the DLC.

So apparently you will 'unearth an ancient evil that could destroy the world'...So another crappy ME-style dlc introducing a new threat. How about fleshing out some of paper-thin stuff and characters already in the game?

...And an entirely new area to explore. Can they please add some content to the pointless boring areas already in the game such as Forbidden Oasis, Fallow Mire, Exalted Plains or Emerald Graves?

Mmm... Accoring to Origin I haven't played this since the 9th of December. Still haven't finished it either, which is rather damning considering the number of hours I sank in to Origins (and to a somewhat lesser DA2).

It's great they are supporting the game, but that trailer does seem 'more of teh same', which isn't an appealing thought.

yea, i just bought the dlc, it's a new area on the map. nothing special though. guess it's another few hours of play time in-game =)
£6.90 for a few hours is still cheaper per hour than going to the cinema lol =s

Little update on this :

SLI is working fantastic for me now. No issues to report and both cards sit at around 95+% usage.

I've also just sussed out that I can use the mouse to pan the camera (why oh why isn't it set like that by default?). So, I've ditched the Xbox controller and am now playing K&M as I should be.

A total newb question I know, but what are the 3 bars in the centre of the screen above the status bar for? One is full and 2 are empty.

See screen shot...

Those bars are your focus, they are used for your special abilities, your inquisitor ability for the main character and the special ability in each of the specialist class skill trees (Vanguard, Rift Mage, Artificer etc)

so you are one of the few who are saying K&M is playable. This was the only thing that put me off buying this. Reading other forums it was like you must have a controller as K&M sucks for this game. Playing with a controller just feels odd at my PC desk. Well I struggle with controllers full stop to be honest. Did manage make it through the Last of Us, but I'll definetly take another look at Dragon Age once I've played lots of GTA.

You need to set a key binding for "toggle mouse look" and then toggle it to ON in-game. Then, it's golden. It had no key set by default for me, so God knows if it just got added recently (I found it by accident tonight).

30 hours of play and I haven't a clue what you're on about! :o

Ah hehe, I presume after 30 hours you have got to Skyhold?

On your trip there you got a new power, Mark Of the Rift I think it's called, it's the yellow skill icon on your action bar in slot 5 on your screenshot. That's an Inquisitor specific ability but each class can get one. Every character apart from the inquisitor unlocks a specialist skill tree after you get to Skyhold and do a couple of quests there. Of the party members you have there Solus gets a Rift Mage tree, The Iron Bull gets Ravager I think and Cassandra is Templar? Scroll through your skill trees for each character and you should find them. In each of those trees there is a special ability also with a yellow icon.

Once you've got that ability then the character will get those 3 bars on the screen that fill up during combat when you deal and take damage. When at least one of the bars is full you can use that ability and generally they are very powerful. To start with you can only fill up one of the bars but there are Inquisition perks in the Forces category that open up the second and third bars. That just allows you to build up more focus and make the ability more powerful.

Hope that makes sense :)
