Dragon Age: The Veilguard

The fact that you have been gaming since then and still suggested DA:V is one of the worst game ever made is crazy.

Maybe just leave or edit as "worst games I've ever played" because even if you didn't play or (somehow) hear about them, Gollum and Redfall are worse games in every metric and made a lot of news, even into mainstream news sites.

I said worst game I ever played in one of my last post ,I don't have any game with as much woke crap and issues as Veilguard ( even the story is not great or original) , as to Redfall, Gollum, sorry I refuse to comment on games I've not played, never listen to reviewers, only judge a game by playing it, in that way it's 100% honest and we all know reviewers do get it wrong quite a few times or gamers disagree with their review.

Somebody isn't being objective if they claim this is "one of the worst games ever"

Ever? In the history of all games? Give me a break. Try playing Superman 64 (N64), Dangerous Streets (Amiga), Dr. Jekyll & Mr Hyde (NES), Big Rigs: Over the road racing (PC) etc.

For the record, again one of the worst games I've played, games you mentioned above I have not played, so can't comment to be fair. I pick my purchased PC games carefully for the most part, but can get it wrong like anybody here.

I only play PC games now for the record.

Anybody know when a patch is due for Veilguard or will it be a long wait? I only ask since some game developers are fast with patches while others are not.

Did a google search found this https://www.pcgamesn.com/dragon-age-the-veilguard/first-patch.

We have our first patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard coming later this week to all platforms,” BioWare explains. “This patch will include some bug fixes, minor balance changes, and some crash mitigations.” While we’ll have to wait for the full patch notes, BioWare does give us a teaser of what to expect.

If you’ve been going to your Dragon Age The Veilguard companions only to find that their skill points have reset, worry no longer. BioWare says this issue should now be fixed, saving you from reallocating everyone’s skills on a whim.

Also, if you’ve been wanting to use Nvidia’s AI upscaling for better resolution in Dragon Age The Veilguard but found that it doesn’t work properly, BioWare is fixing that up. The team says it has “fixed an issue where DLSS options could end up ‘grayed-out’ on a 40-series Nvidia GPU.”

And that's another thing, people are receiving this game as it's it's ruined a beloved series of games.

Dragons Age is not particularly held in high regard.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

Actually, come to think of it, you like the least well regarded game (one that will be the last of the franchise and it kill it stone dead) of an IP which YOU consider to not be well-regarded...

So you enjoyed/are enjoying the worst game of a franchise that by your own pronouncement isn't very good...

BioWare certainly were held in high regard as one of the top CRPG developers of the new wave in the late 90s, early 2000s. Ultima 8s been mentioned in the thread, the game that killed one of the top Developers of the first wave, both owned by EA both pandering to outside influences over what the fans actually wanted.

I'm glad I don't have any of those crappy games you guys have mentioned, DA:Origins is my favourite of DA games, nice skill bar list where you could put the many skills in any order, very good storyline etc and yet you would think they would build on that in their next DA game back then, but no they keep somehow making DA worst and dumbing skills and storyline down.

I remember the very old days before quest markers, then you had to find it all yourself lol , no game help.

Btw gets you thinking about the next DA game down the road if they ever develop it, will they learn from their mistakes and general feedback from gamers/reviewers etc or just do what they do, time will tell I guess.

Oh man, Superman 64 still gives me nightmares lol.

Reactions: TNA
Excellent, another Dragon Age/EA game I will not play. Ever since they ruined Anders in DA2.

Another thing I hate is unlike DA Inquistion where you knew what level you should be for dragon fights etc..in Veilguard you go in blind, my team got wiped out, did a Google search and it turns out it is a level 50 boss dragon (Revenant Dragon) you supposed to do at near end or above level 40. I'm at level 25, so half the quests you have no idea what you are going into, that's fine but maybe there should be a warning if you are too low for boss or Dragon fights, previous DA games gave you an idea of dragon toughness onscreen or by level area you were in, not this one so wasted my time finding out the hard way. Parts of the game are not thought through, typical rush get the game out ASAP.

I'm going to get my money's worth out of this game one way or another regardless of the many issues I hate in the game.

There is an enemy level indicator on their health bar, it’s the number to the left I was trying to fight a level 20 boss at level 12 before I noticed it.

Number in white = close to your level
Yellow = above your level but doable
Red with a Skull symbol = you are seriously under levelled.

That dining table scene where "They" come out as Binary and then sulk like a 4 year old is the most immersive dialogue I've ever heard in a game.

It's like they watched the Harry Enfield Gay Son skit from the 90s but took out all the jokes so your just left with an embarrassingly bad scene.

Who's writing these scripts and why is no one telling them the truth, the writing is terrible, it's like someone with no social skills or life experience wrote it.

There should be some golden rule where all writers for entertainment media have to be at least 30 years old, preferably around 40

But I guess DEI gets you inexperienced peoples in roles they have no merit being anywhere near.

I'll check again but with Inquistion it was obvious level wise, well looks like a bug sometimes level appears next to them but no always.
