Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Bad news for Mass Effect fans.

There'll be no DLC for DA:Veil Guard, and the whole team has started work on ME5.

And they're promising to double down on the woke propaganda, yay.
You got a link about them doubling down? Daft if they do.
After Andromeda, I don't really have much hope that the next mass effect will be good. And not holding my breath on the TV show.

Think it's in the last video I posted above.

I've seen relevant links more than once, including from the head of Ubisoft moaning about the backlash of having a fictional black samurai in their forthcoming Ass Creed game.

Ok cheers will have a look later on. I've avoided the Ubisoft thing tbh, as i don't care about AssCre.

That's nothing compared to the rest of the game

There's even propaganda in one of the codex of the game

That is just insane.

Neil, you've spent more time review bombing this game than playing it (sub 2 hours IRCC). Chill babes, this isn't healthy.

I'm 30 hours in and it's a good game but not great. 7 out of 10 or thereabouts. Story is all over the place (good when it is good and whoopsie when it isn't)

Will get to the end if only to work out what the story is driving at.

[dun dun ... DUN!]

He's just frustrated, can't blame him really but you're right, you can quickly become obsessed with something that frustrates you to that extent.

Even if it is an okay game, I would have serious concerns about what was promised and the price I ended up paying. If something doesn't meet my expectations or deviates from it completely or I feel like I've been lied to I would complain. Luckily as I don't really preorder anymore I get to watch from the sidelines.

It's funny how the media were so quick to say it's a big success (probably paid for reviews etc), even when it was obvious to everyone else it was bombing just by looking at player activity.

Supposedly they've had a lot of the sales they did make refunded. In the 100,000s. Probably many people who went in blind, expecting something like the old games and then went "wtf is this ****".

Now that is a different argument and one I agree with although 'promised' is quite a strong word (I get the sentiment though)

It does raise an eyebrow when people are clamouring for people to lose their jobs, for entire companies to be shut down, even though they are 'real gamers and have been playing [x] since the year [y]'
(not aimed at you).

Not a fan of the game? Cool. Huge fan of the game? Cool. Making some huge agenda issue out of something you haven't actually played and posting ragebait youtube nonsense? Not so cool.

I don't know enough about their internal team dynamics so I can't really say much on people being let go. edit: sometimes I waffle more than I should hah

Dragon Age Origins is still one of my gaming highlights, I still might give this a go in the future but this thread has been a depressing read.

given the turnaround of games like No Mans Sky and Cyberpunk there's always hope... oh wait DA is owned by EA, maybe not :(
