Anyone else own a pair of docs that squeak when walking?

I’ve done everything to try and stop mine from squeaking, put balsam on the leather, removed the insole, put talc in between the insole and shoe, even lightly sanded the rubber sole.

Happens on most surfaces also.

I’ve come to the conclusion that these are cheaply made boots and had to stop wearing them.

Tried contacting DrMartens and their after sales are not helpful to say the least.

Timpsons want £80 for re-soling them.

Any comedy puns are most welcome or even advice from someone who cured their squeak.

Some Nike trainers have the same problem. I have returned a few pairs because of this.

Sorry state of manufactures moving to cheaper materials while still charging a premium.

Is boot squeaking or is it the sole squeaking against certain floor surfaces?

I’ve had Vibram soles on several different boots that squeaked on vinyl flooring and had very little grip on certain floor tiles.
