DrMartens comedy clown boots

sure. Most likely fit the dr martens tag in england then say "made in england" ;-)

Probably, I used to do something similar for a company who were suppling trusted UK high street businesses like John Lewis and Mothercare.
They would sell the items as made in the UK even though they were pure Chinese.

I remember barely touching the product, it was more like a check over for faults and correct or reject the items.
It was all done in China and came over in shipping containers that were delivered to the warehouse.

There was a guy in China who did all the translation, it was all fully legal and was back in about 2008.

For the forum class clown on high-end audio it is baffling you don't understand the difference between UK made products and off shore.

Don't you feel a bit daft now, with the post from dave just above yours?

Emotiva do something similar, a OEM supplier makes their product, they finish production (like literally putting the PSU in, or something small ) then slapping a "Proudly made in USA" badge and rebox it.

especially in the USA where is bias buying made in USA produts.

?? Dave posting some nonsense about some random stuff he did a while back has got nothing to do with anything. Just shows the kind of chap Dave is to spend his life retagging crap from China, regardless of if he was being paid for it or not.

LOL. Hey buy that "Made in Italy" handbag for £4000 ;-) the tag says so, even though it has the fingerprints of 10 year old vietnamese kids on the leather ;-)

Some Nike trainers have the same problem. I have returned a few pairs because of this.

Sorry state of manufactures moving to cheaper materials while still charging a premium.
I had this on a pair of Nike’s, annoyed the life out if me for months. Ended up spraying a load of wd40 on the soles, seems to have made it better.

The gloss on the leather is a coating. You're not applying anything to the leather.

unless you apply to the other side, I've read it's either not a good idea or ok. I guess better than the leather cracking. My old martens cracked also, plus I went through the sole in about an year not impressed, the sole is way too soft and not enough tread.

Waste of money and would never buy again. Excessively chunky sole also distorted normal walking movement. Bought because it had some kind of "reputation" in my mind.

Whatever that was built on, it's possible they went down the drain since or the competition at the time was unbelievably bad.

Just got some Timberland sprint trekker boots (made in Cambodia) and worn them first day at work and after 4hrs left boot is squeaking same as the docs.

Could I have a squeaky foot?

Will be returning them when I get home. I have the same pair in black and these are silent stealthy boots.

I have a few pairs of Adidas Gazelle trainers that squeak. My daughter noticed it and pointed it out, then I noticed they all do it. I cannot unhear it now
Yep, once you notice it it’s annoying as hell and the place I work just amplifies the noise in the corridors so I sound like a one man band.
