Burial's stuff does wash over me and although I've listened to both albums a lot, I couldn't tell you which track was what but I still enjoy the occasional listen.
Burial helped produce the radio edit of night air, but he is a good artist in his own right yeah. I like his stuff late at night lights off just maxing and relaxing... comes into it's own then, lets your mind do the work.
The Burial remix of wayfairing stranger was one of the first dubstep tunes I heard in about 2006 or 7, I can't believe I'd not really caught on with dubstep before that lol as was well into ukg, speed garage in the late 90's and all that kinda stuff along with drum and bass but I spent a few years into trance.. so yeah I've spent 3 yrs listening to everything dubstep from it's day dot Still not bored yet, been through most genres of dance music since about 1992 when I was a nipper! Never gonna stray.
I blew one of my car speakers with this the other day, don't even have decent subs or anything, just a generic stereo that came with the car.
Noticed a lot of comments in this thread that there is not much real dubstep being posted...would this track be classed as dubstep or not? Either way, what's the reason...cheers
don't get me wrong, i love that feeling when you have a gut destroying bassline and crazy wobble reece flying at you as much as the next man, it's just good to appreciate the roots
i do feel that the more modern style of dubstep will disappear pretty quick though, i feel it's trying to do too much too soon...
justs add [ youtube ] at the beginning, and [ /youtube ] at the end, without the spaces, but only use the bit after the = sign, so:
[ youtube ] without spaces makes it do this:
The sound is in a similar vain to the one I posted yesterday, if this aint been posted before then here you go and if it has it's well worthy of a repost
