anyone heard if there is an agreement between Sky /BBC as to how big the delay is before BBC can transmit the highlight shows after the end of each race (the ones they arent covering live I guess lol)

first year in a very long time I havent got up to watch the Aussie GP live, and after 4 months of no live f1 , its going to be difficult to take :(

When the stream is at it's most optimum, is comparable to a very good SD feed, however it can dip to a more blocky-like typical net stream.

indeed, however i have to say when i watched the f1 season preview the quality was top notch, far better then the other stuff i watch on skygo, will see if that changes for this coming weekend but if it doesn't then it is getting towards been a middle ground between sd and hd, especially on a 32" screen when 720 and 1080p are difficult to distinguish from normal viewing distances

Looked into some other options for receiving Sky Go and it looks like this device will have it soon - http://www.roku.com - not bad for £49. The 360 I have is one of the early models and is noisy/hot so would be nice to replace it with that as I don't use it for anything else.

That looks very good. Nice find Duke.

Also Sky are launching a new internet TV service called 'NOW TV' later this year. I wonder if that will also be available. They say they will offer sport and you can choose between pay monthly or pay-as-you-go.

If they decide to make F1 available on a pay-as-you-go basis that would be good as long as the price was reasonable.

Key features of the NOW TV experience will include:

  • Great content – the new service will offer some of Sky’s most popular programming. Sky Movies will be available from launch and the service will expand to offer sport and entertainment soon afterwards.

  • Flexible pricing – with no minimum contract, customers will be able to choose from a variety of pricing options. For example, people will be able to pay monthly for unlimited access to Sky Movies or rent a single movie on a simple, pay-as-you-go basis.

  • Easy access – the new service will roll out across a wide range of connected devices, including PCs, Macs, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, games consoles and connected TVs.

  • Ease of use – with immediate streaming through an intuitive interface, backed up by recommendations and editorial support, customers will quickly and easily find the content they most want to watch
