E-On Ripp off!!!!!

Which bit?
To work out useage we need a start date with meter reading and a end date with meter reading.

Usually there's an override switch for fast heating outside of the timer. Some people have been knowen to have this on permanently costing them loads, it basically fires the boiler up and stays on until, you turn the switch off again.

Oh i turn the heater on for a bit ten turn it off theres three switches my mum always makes sure it is turned off so the heater isnt on all day etc.

Start day and end date wud that be ON the meter because i just read the rate one and two readings thought that would be enough.

The metre reading is

Rate 2 - 64281.71
Rate 1 - 25501.5-

2 MONTHS AGO when they changed our bill AGAIN to £127

It was

Rate 2- 16655
Rate 1- 07079

............
Is that actual figures?

If so something is very wrong over 700kwh a day. It should be more like 10-15kwh a day.
And even at £300 a month wouldn't cover that amount.

the read at the bottom is that yours or a eon meter reader?

Is the meter in a communal cupboard or in the flat?

Looking at this someones been reading the wrong meter

the other meter reading

Now: 18000/ 10000

2 months ago: 16655/ 07079

which is 48 units per day and 22 units per day which is valid consumption

Your current meter reading is : 64000/25000

Basically someone either your/your mum or most likely the meter reader has previously been reading the wrong meter so EON has received the readings as 16655/07079 to 64000/25000 and billed on that consumption

Sorry Glaucas Disregard the 2 months prior readings this is the right readings.

Augusts reading was

24475
09947

And the readings from today which was the one with 64000 etc was right so tell me the difference to what you just calculated bro.

That doesn't improve things much, just the top reading is 40000 units in ~90 days

Are the flats relatively new?
Last place had problems with meters being designated to the wrong flats. Luckily sorted out before I moved in.

Basically what happens is theres a communal cupbaord with poorly marked meters so the meter reader reads what he thinks is the right meter.

The wrong meters been read and you've been billed for the difference between the reads

eg 64000/25000 current read is valid

By the sound of it youve been billed from 24475/09947 to 64000/25000 which shows as high consumption.

Not being funny but are you SURE your reading the right meter? if so how are you sure?

Last place hd problems which meaner readings being designated to the wrong flats. Luckily sorted out before I moved in.

This.... see it All the time with flats and communal cupboards

To 100% confirm which meter is yours do a load test.... turn everything including the kettle on then go check the meter and see which ones mashing through the digits.. that'll eb your meter. Take a read tomorrow evening and we get an idea of your daily consumption then we'll be able to reverse calculate your true consumption/ yearly consumption. Chances are Eon will woe you some money if you've been paying such high DD

They are a few years old i checked our flat mates consumption which is far lower.

Also to the other guy the readings were read correct.

So the jump in electricity has to be erroneous because if anything our electricity usage has gone DOWN.

Also the reading on the meter right now i have not even told to eon yet..... i want to tell them the issue and that our usage has not incrased yet our metre reading has trippled.

Because if we gave them the reading they would probably raise our bill even further mums emailing them and going to call them clearly stateing there has tbe be a fault with the meter.

I was there with him last time.

Our meters are labled with the flat assocciated with them.

your consumption hasn't tripped, it sounds like the reading on your last bill was your neighbours meter reading and 1 of your actual readings.

Can you post the last 3 bills worth of readings for me and what type of reads the bill shows them as eg estimated customer or routine
