because religion stems from story books and most people on here are scientific in some way or are atleast open to science...

religion may be alright for getting people together and for sharing some good morals etc but it cant bloody predict the future , that would be like what happens in a harry potter book happening in the future

i cant wait to play quiditch
 
People spouting crap about the Bible, Islam, and other dooms day predictions please leave the thread. This is nature pure and simple, If your predictions are that good, Please predict me the lottery numbers for the weekend.
 
Just heard from the news that the government is advising residents within 3km of the first reactor in Fukushima to evacuate as a precautionary measure.

I really hope it's my bad Japanese that I understood it wrong :(

I can just about imagine how hard it is to try and manage the panic raising in such an event, I could not however think of parents with their children, trying to protect them.
 
To those claiming earthquakes are becoming more common - im afraid you are very wrong

1: The earth is ~4.5bn years old, a massive accretionary mass of semi-molten rock wracked by constant tectnoism (earthquakes)
2: Since then it has been COOLING
3: Eventually the earth will cool entirely, no longer have a molten core, plate tectonics will cease and there will be no more earthquakes
