Easyriders Cinema Room

Nice idea to use server racking, could come together very nicely. Is it to be on display or hidden away? Racking might look a bit odd with mismatched components? Ie lots of blank space?

It will be on the main wall filled with AV Stuff etc..

If I keep things balanced it will look fine.

I can use blanking plates if I need to, But I'm sure I won't have trouble filling it.:p

Its not server Racking BTW.

Its studio racking built to my spec.:)

Can we all come along to the premier screening? :p

(Of what ever it might be lol)

Nice work, Keep it up!

If your name is Charlize Theron and you look like this then yeah:D

How did you get a picture of me? Anyway shall we say 9PM for the screening? :p :D

Can I suggest bigger? 92" will get 'normal' very quickly IMO. You can build a fixed screen and hide it with curtains. Maybe not have a TV at all as it's a special room.

It was £1.89 delivered for the screen.;)

I'll see how I get on.

I may look into building my own at some point...

As requested.

Enlarged Projector
Added Colour Sceme (Cream looks abit pinkish soz)

That is nigh on identical to how my home cinema looked untill recently (check out Crown's 'tailored' brown from their dark elegance series for something that looks really swish). It had a dark brown feature/screen wall, cream walls, and grey ceiling and, imo, looked great :)

Does look good.

I have been having a look over some colour guides and was 99% sure of getting

Dulux Urban Obsession (Dark Grey) for the feature/screen wall and Grey Steel 2(light Grey) for the side walls.

Not sure my side lighting and Silver LEDS will go with brown or cream?

Don't think they'd go with brown (shame I love it :)). Cream wouldn't be an issue. Flint grays could look great.

So jealous :)

Ant

Not really,

Plus the surrounds are Silver

What colour are the lights now then? I imagined they would some kind of light purple or violet colour? Are they on a dimmer switch?

EDIT: Thought about an infra-red dimmer switch for your LED and normal lights in general? It would mean you could use your universal remote to automatically dim the lights at the same time you hit play? :-) (Although its probably a little too late for this now!)
