I really would not bother with the new beta firmware it is a major step back in reliability back to 4312 for me!
Main problem is the speed. It seems to take about 3-6 seconds between each button press, they stated with the release that it was known to be slow and stated it was down to the slower processor in the older players but I do find this irritating as it was announced in 2009 so they should have based it on the older processors.
Screw it i might just install it and see how it fares...if its no good then ill just go back to my original firmware.
Hmmm thats a shame..was planning to install the new GUI on my mini but if there are speed issues then thats a no no for me as i stream Blu ray rips over my network and cant afford any slowdowns.

Dont know if anyone is wanting to try but apparently a second reflash has improved the speed, havent had a chance to try it myself but might be worth a go. Unsure if its via the standard or safe mode flash but I haven't had a chance to try yet.
I would also be interested in seeing if i could flash this to a Mini2..
No, what we are on about is the Mede8er V4 gui/firmware which is still built on sdk3 , it has a much better implemented video wall to get straight to your movie folders, a hell of a lot less clicks! So far I have tried the unlocked version that people are using on the Patriot Box Office , but alas remote functionality is lost. I have a another one which is claimed to retain all remote as they both share the same remote, which I will try tonight.
Have you got a link to the firmware please matey? All working fine boot screen shows AC Ryan and then its Mede8er system with full remote functions now to have a play with it and the video wall and see if it is better
