EBD ban.

Its not a conspiracy theory, its been going on for years. F1 teams are asked to put on a show [in affect] We do this by developing parts/components. Some are deemed legal, some not. Look at the F Duct, you needed to test your chassis and pass the relevant tests at Cranfield, the one thing the FIA stipulate is that your chassis must stay as it was during the crash test. Drivers, driving at 190mph and taking their hands off the wheel to block their [interpretation] of the F Duct is a lot safer than a engine map doing it for you,no?

Yes of course i can, it was not in the shabby FIA's original rules for 2011.

We have spent close to 200k for this very reason developing parts that negate the ban, FIA RRA in full effect.

Does that not depend entirely on the interpretation though? You wouldn't have nailed a fan to the back of your car because quite clearly that is a moveable aero device. But using a computer to boost throttle while the driver is NOT on throttle with the ONLY benefit being that you get more downforce isn't? While you can point at the rule book and say "it doesn't say we can't do this" can't they say "we'll it does say no moveable aero, and your engine moves and changes the aero"?

I'm not disagreeing with you, I wish they would just set the rules and let you folks have at it. I'd much rather there were generally less rules too but sadly that's just not the way it goes. I'm a Hamilton fan which means by extension at the moment that i'm a McLaren fan too. I honestly have no idea how much this change will affect you or Mclaren or Ferrari. I think I read somewhere that it was a Renault idea so maybe it'll affect them the most, Joe public just won't know until Silverstone. I'm hoping that the running order doesn't change as a result and that Hamilton or even Button have a storming second half and win the championship. I don't want that to be because the FIA changed something which screwed you up more than others.

Apologies, that was posted while you made your earlier post so wasn't in reference to your comment just in reference to those who seem to think the FIA are specifically trying to screw RB over with this change.

Im prepared to take any volunteer around our facility and show you just how much the [money saving RRA FIA] are costing us. The FIA have only one agenda, making money. The sooner the teams tell them to **** off the better IMO.

By constantly changing the rules the FIA are losing all credibility. (my old man thinks the 'F' of 'FIA' stands for 'Ferrari'!)

Your points are totally valid to a extent. The problem is,imagine you get 6 numbers on the lottery,Lotto move the goal post.Would you be happy? Extreme example but,its all about rules and the bending/manipulating of.
