Terrible. How dare you not go.

In saying that sorry couldnt make it. I have an exam tomorrow

Chuckling at DezUK - That walk was nothing compared to the rest of the weekend.

Had a thoroughly good time, my feet are sore but it was really nice to actually do the touristy bit for what could be the first time ever at an OcUK meet. Certainly the first time it's happened at one I've been at.

Edinburgh castle is a great place, one of the best castles I've visited, one afternoon wasn't anywhere near enough time to do the sights of the city so I'm going to take Mrs. Feek back for a weekend sometime and do as much as possible, no doubt with some bimbling while we do it.

It was a shame we had a couple of people not feeling too well, I hope that Aitch and Muban are betterer now.

Another first for me was the consumption of Bison, and in fact double Bison. Man, that's a good bit of meat :)

Just got home after our extra day in the lovely city of Edinburgh. Had a good bimble taking in Harvey Nicks and the Whiskey Heritage tour (hic!).

Fantastic meet with a top group of people. Thanks to SCM and Muban for being our tour guides and to everyone for being great company. Frustratingly I wasn't feeling my best so missed out on some of the meet activities and my path barely crossed with the nocturnal Vixen ;) .

Muban & SCM- I hope you are feeling better after your illness/injuries.

I was happy to act as one of the tour guides and just sorry that for some of us illness/injury got in the way of spending more time chatting etc. Also due to lack of time we didn't manage to make the fudge shop even after 2 days of attempts :p

I am slowly recovering and can walk okish now just not for too long and thank you for asking how i am doing Aitch :) hopefully Muban is recovering nicely as well.

Heres to another Scottish meet next year either in Edinburgh or Glasgow depending on how the vote goes at the time. As we have to do this meet again up here :D

Back now :/

Really enjoyed this meet, just the right amount of people to get to know everyone and be able to chat without spliting into more than one group. Like Feek I really enjoyed the castle, I was stunned to how central to the city the castle was and how hilly the city was!

Friday was great, meeting up with Garp at Gatwick and then the others so quickly after we got to Edinburgh, thanks to SCM for rounding us up

and directing us to good food. I was comited to exploring real ale this weekend and with the knowledge of Feek and Garp I discoved the joys of Brown Beer, Slightly lighter Beer (wasn't so keen on that one), The Other Slightly Lighter Beer, Black and Super Cooled Black. Most enjoyable despite the strange effect it had on my digestion

Great to meet some new people and I hope that they join us again :) Most impressed with AndrewPs exodus from the the middle of the sea to join us, good on you mate :)

Very much enjoyed our quiet wind down day, H and I went to the Whiskey centre and found out all about the joys of the Water of Life and sampled a few, we are now members of the Whiskey Appreciation Society and have quadrupled the varieties in our collection in one swoop :)

Pics to follow

Great Weekend, thanks guys!

We managed the fudge shop on Sunday morning, SCM, sorry you weren't able to join us for that. Quite awesome watching the woman making the fudge but we bought some and left before they started packing the freshly made stuff.

Glasgow has some very nice building, and i'd say as a city centre it's better than Edinburgh's. Edinburgh definately wins on tourist side though. But fair's fair, next meet should be Glasgow. It is only a bus ride away from Edinburgh you know.

I don't mind the pubs there but prefer Edinburgh over Glasgow.

Guess it is only fair to have a Glasvagas meet now theres been an Edinburger one.

(Yeah i know about buses but it's quicker to get the train and much nicer)

and more expensive! i was stunned when they wanted £10 for a single to the Haymarket!!! Nae danger! i'll stick to a £5.50 bus return!

Pubs in glasgow are a lot better in my opinion, and Oran Mor has to be seen to be believed. Club in a church, very classy but also rather expensive to get in.

I don't believe they was the words we used as we scaled that near vertical street up to the Castle ;)

Despite feeling like crap today (too many pints of brown/black/super cold black/cloudy girls drink) and not enough sleep) I'm so glad I went.

I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one with a rename ;)
