EE - 4G

impressive speeds, considering my landline gets 1megabit in the evenings!

still, even if it was in my area.. to tight data caps! if i cant get rid of my landine when 4g comes here (in 2010000) i wont buy

in latest Engadget article about 4G in London, they say that 3G got faster on tmobile.
Can anyone confirm that ?
certainly there is no improvement in terms on coverage and signal strength..

3G is considerably faster here post-4G upgrade.

Yes, 3g has significantly increased for me also. I work for ee and it's not just the 4g part of the network that has been upgraded; a lot of work has been done on the HSDPA infrastructure to.

You get to keep your current handset which should be worth more than £99

Whoah, whoah, for real??!

So I have a £15/mo T-Mo contract, and got a One X for £30 when I started the contract - however, I recently flogged this handset as I didn't get along with it :p

I was under the impression I would have to "trade-in" my old handset to move over to EE on the £99 deal, but is this not the case??!

Cheers,

Su

Yeah, I thought so too. You pay £99, give your handset back and pay for the new handset.

So you get charged a lot but in someways it's understandable as you might not have fully paid off your current handset cost yet.

Well I've had my 4g contract since the 2nd of november and have so far used 380mb of my 1gb allowance which will reset in 17 days.

IMO, 4g is well worth the entry simply because for the first time, I'm able to surf the net to the same standard as my cable broadband connection at home. It really irks me now when I am stuck on a slow 3g signal as the difference in my surfing experience is so much better when on 4g.

I can be reading through pages of the 'get your rigs out' thread with pages loading instantly with all the pictures ready etc and this really in turn makes the note 2 lte worth having.

Bear in mind however, I do not use my phone to stream music and barely use youtube on the move- I just surf the net really fast :D

4g hasn't landed in my place of work yet but is in my home town of Liverpool.

However, I would be mostly using the phone on wifi while in the home town apart from th odd night at the pub!

Can I buy a 4g compatible handset on EE 3g and then upgrade to 4g at a later date? Or even on orange/tmobile?
