I haven't had a single crash, only played it for about 3 hours in total but I've alt-tabbed a fair number of times to post in forums or using the steam chat to talk to people (doesn't really count as an alt-tab though).

I'm stuck I need to deliver 100 units of energy to a station in the Lonely Giant. My Energy transport has two hundred units of energy and is sat 4km away. When I try to sell the units its telling me my transporter has too many trips planned. Any idea where I can look at the trips and see if I can delete them somehow?

Obviously there is a problem somewhere. It starts out very smooth for me, but as soon as I have played for 30 minutes or so performance dives.
Seems a good way of making money is the long range scanner. There is loads of stuff floating around the various sectors.

Anyone know how to find out what wares I am carrying? Have been collecting lots, but no idea where they go!

Despite all the bugs still feel like I might end up buying it.
Do you really have to run through the station and talk to people whenever you want to hire them etc?
Seems like the stations all look the same

Didn't notice the inventory!
It's stationary I am unable to give it an order as it has 3 trips planned but I am unable to find any nav points for it in any of the menus.

Some people are saying it is in a queue waiting for the other energy freighter to finish. Might just leave it for a while and then come back.
I guess this is when I miss SETA.
If it doesn't work I will grab that save I think.
What spec are you running ? I have not noticed any performance drops after a good few hours play. After I deleted and re-installed I have pretty much no issues at all.

Q9550 at 4ghz, 8gb ram, HD6990. Could be a cpu bottleneck, but lots of people with higher end systems are experiencing the same if you read around.
Quite a disappointing game overall really, but still quite fun when it isn't being buggy.
I'm having the same problem as a lot of other people - being unable to buy/sell those energy cells. I also encountered a bug where I walk into the back of the ship and I'm unable to get back into the cockpit because the door mechanism won't work.
Might play some X3 for a while and come back to this game at a later date.

I loaded an old save just after a fight with the drones. I have to get my ship repaired so off I go to find an engineer. Instead of getting an engineer to repair my ship I thought I would hire him. Now that I have hired him and he is on my ship there is no option for him to repair my ship. The ship is still damagedm my mission icon is still telling me to find an engineer. WTF is going on?
