If Hulk is the go to reserve now, why isn't he already at the track.

I remember this before I think with Sauber was it where they didn't bother to bring their reserve driver to the race.

Montreal 2011, when Perez realised after FP1 that he wasn't ready to return after his crash at Monaco. Sauber brought in McLaren's Pedro de la Rosa. de la Rosa had driven for Sauber in 2010 though, so he knew the team and the car was probably similar.

It goes to show how increasingly restrictive the regs have had to get to slow the cars down, given that record will only be dropped by 3s or so after 16 years of development.
