Elden Ring

Did the first big guy on a horse you see in the open world this morning, so figured I’d go straight to Margit afterwards. Couple of deaths due to stupidity, but I probably could have done it a few levels ago.

Still a good amount for me to do in the first areas though, so will be doing that.
14 hours of playing for me, and still enjoying it. The 10/10’s are absolutely right.
 
Margit down finally now into the castle proper.

Found Godrick. Here we go again I suppose! Love the castle so many places and different paths to take. Time for a break though! One hour becomes six so easily in this game.

Met Mad Tongue Last night. He is 2 shotting me. Had him down to a slither of health a few times.

Question: do I have no choice but to keep trying or can I somehow fast travel out of the area until I've levelled a little?

I did look at the map briefly but could only see the round table. But it had got late so maybe I missed it!

Have found a good grinding spot for this stage, it's right before the first proper boss as in gives a rune piece.

The big dude just outside the boss door? Yeah he’s pretty easy taken down with magic. 1,000 ‘souls’ as well.

I cheesed the big knight through the door as well. If you haven’t already buy a lantern. Helps a lot in the dark funnily enough :D

Yeah and I did the living jars too. Grinded for about an hour. I'm going back to figure out how to get to the bottom of the castle.
Tried to kill the phantom in roundtable place but it dodges all my magic generally. Got it down to about 30%

Can pretty much one shot them except the big one which took me about 4/5 pebbles. Then I used arc to destroy the little ones quickly.
 
Can you only parry with shields that have the party skill? Not that I'm good enough to do it but sometimes I thought I timed it right and nothing.

Lol logged in. I could fast travel out. Wasted hours thinking I had to beat him to progress
 
Nearly got annihilated again by a normal enemy. It can fire spectral arrows from like 4 miles away and they go through rocks etc.

Actually they don't go through rocks. They're just insanely fast and accurate.

Just killed dragonkin soldier. Another bloody Halberd. The seal is interesting though, +3 attributes in return for increased damage.

I've.not cashed it in yet purely as the items aren't any use to me.

Killed a spirit animal thing earlier, music was epic but I felt bad for doing it. I suspect there will be something I've locked myself out of for doing it.
 
Really struggling with this. Tried the Astro/mage build and kept dying in 2 hits. Started a new playthrough as a Vegabond and now I die in 2 hits. I've bascially made it to where you get the horse and just keep dying constantly around that area.
