Electric shavers

Check review videos on youtube, loads of them about. The Series 7 seems fine, but for all we know your dad could have the stubble of an beast so a series7 might not cut it, literally.

Series 9 is too expensive.
below sites great - many genuine comments, follow the advice, also iterated earlier in this thread, get a better value Panasonic

if you have any angular features on your face electric 5 blades have the manouverability/precision of a pair of garden shears - so I go 3 blade.

......

have recently been considering trying pre-shaves
The one from Lectric shave is a great option since it’s widely available and cheap, but at least for me, some other brands are better. I am referring to the ones from Speick and Tabac and while they cost more, the performance, texture and scent are superior.

Ive been wet shaving for years but with having a condition called cerebral palsy I always without fail nic myself when I shave... Ive tried a cheap philips electric shaver about 20yrs ago but that totally destroyed my neck as it was painful after, so been wet shaving ever since.... I might try again with the panasonic shaver that you all raving about, but a couple of questions. 1 How long does the blades lasts? Can you get as close as "wet shaving"? 3 Is the ES-LV97 better than the ES-LV65-s, which 1 would you buy?

Oh, I bought a Panasonic ES-LV9U Wet & Dry 5-Blade.

Total waste of money, not a patch on my Philips or Braun.

Misses hairs, struggles with anything a few days old, useless.

yes brauns are better for GenZ - re-post
if I needed justification not to swap - even the braun website commissioned DE comparison show Pan clv95 is same as a braun9 for daily shaving,

Study 2
Comparison of the Braun Series 9 and Panasonic Lamdash 5 upgrade (ES-CLV9A) in a consumer use test (test no.: M165004)
Test objective:
Comparison of shaving performance and gentleness on skin between Braun Series 9 and Panasonic Lamdash 5 upgrade in a consumer use test. The test focused on measuring shaving time and the test subjects’ personal perception about shaving performance attributes and gentleness on skin.

Test description:
Location:ipi Institute für Produkt-Markt-Forschung in Stuttgart
Time frame: March 2, 2016 to April 8, 2016
Test subjects:
100 clean-shaven men between the ages of 18 and 65, who shave at least three to four times a week and who are willing to pay €150 for a shaver. All participants use a shaver with an linear oscillating system at home. The test was carried out on a three-day beard and a 24-hour beard.
Test design:
The test shave was conducted at the test institute under the supervision of a test manager.By shaving in split-face mode, the Series 9 was used for one half of the face and the other half with the Panasonic Lamdash 5 upgrade (ES-CLV9A).The following day, the shavers were reversed and each was used on the other half of the face. The shaving time per half of the face was measured by the test manager. After shaving, the test subjects rated the following shave attributes for both halves of the face with the aid of an electronic questionnaire: thoroughness, speed (efficiency), removal of residual hair, and gentleness on skin before and after shaving.
Results:
In shaving attributes such as speed (efficiency), thoroughness and adaptation to problem areas as well as the measured shaving time, Braun Series 9 was rated significantly :)95% confidence level) better on three-day beards than the Panasonic Lamdash 5 upgrade. Both shavers were rated equally for the attributes thoroughness and speed (efficiency) on a 24-hour beard.Gentleness on skin as well as the removal of residual hair in problem areas for both beard lengths were rated equally for both shavers.

they don't define 'significantly' either.

How easy is it to use the panasonic 5 blade for a beginner as I can see myself cutting my lip when shaving under the nose with the ES-LV67?

I use a Braun series 8 with the Charger/cleaner dock, found it brilliant.

Always was a wet shaver till the misses got me it for xmas 2 years ago and been using ever since.
I would buy the braun 5 series as the price is good, but the panasonic ES-LV67 has a closer shave than the braun series 9 apparently ..

i have the braun series 7 and am very happy with it.

but i just looked at the current series 7 and it seems to be £130 on sale ( I paid £80 on sale about 2 years back so quite a hike lol )

Its
Bought a Panasonic ES-LV65 last year based on reviews on here.

It's been OK but nothing to shout about, struggles around the neck
Just shows how we're all different, mine shaves me like a baby's bum.
Its going tobe either the braun 6 series or the panasonic ES-LV65. The braun because its only 3 blades and it might be easier to use then the panasonic. And the panasonic because it gives you the closest shave than any other shaver... But I dont know as both shavers gets mixed reviews:confused::confused:

I would buy the braun 5 series as the price is good, but the panasonic ES-LV67 has a closer shave than even with the braun series 9 and the head doesnt move on the panasonic ES-LL21

5 blade would be like a brick, even 3 blade es-ll21 you have to invert razer under nose, my older 3 blade linear pan had no problems.
es-ll21 moves enough for me .. on the neck don't want to cut yourself, if it moves erratically

67's a ridiculous price, too, versus ll21

braun 9, 5 blade too, like lv67, do people have large flat areas on their faces to allow continued contact on 5 blades.

It's been OK but nothing to shout about, struggles around the neck
struggle in what respect ? multi-day growth ?

Can't afford the Braun 9 series at £240, is the 6 series any good?
Black Friday deals, be surprised if Braun wasnt doing offers.
Series 9 down to £199 on amazon (I Haven't checked the price at anywhere else like boots, Etc)

EDIT: Boots is also £199 but does not come with the clean & charge station
