Endless Space - 4x4 Strategy Space Game ( INDIE )

Nice strategy game generally, but highly imbalanced in favour of the AI and the combat mechanic is Shockingly Bad... Pretty much choose a card at random in each phase and see what happens. A shame as it seems to have great potential overall, it really let's it down. The diplomacy seems a bit pointless also.

Have you been playing the beta?
I thought it looked really fun :(

Will get this merged with the other thread - I am undecided on this game to, it does look promising though. Think I will wait for it to come down in price a fair bit before I consider it.

It still is a fun little game. It just feel like a bit of an anticlimax overall.
Hopefully they'll work out the niggles and balancing issues from the Beta but the combat, imo, needed readdressing. Just my taste though, it is quite unique so it might be one of those love it/hate it things...

Iceberg Interactive announces Endless Space will be released via digital distribution on July 4th, celebrating Independence Day by liberating this 4X strategy game from Amplitude Studios. "With the success of the game’s beta program and tremendous feedback from the community, we couldn’t be more excited to be able to get the final game in front of fans," says Mathieu Girard, CEO at AMPLITUDE Studios. "We look forward to even more players getting their hands on Endless Space as we deliver an intuitive, yet immersive experience for all types of players." Here's more:

Set to launch after a highly successful beta campaign via Steam that saw over 20,000 fans registered on the community website, Endless Space is a deep 4X strategy game covering the space colonization age, where gamers can control every aspect of their empire: Economy, Diplomacy, Science and War. As one of eight unique civilizations, players must strive to control the entire galaxy through trade and diplomacy or technological advancements and strategic warfare. Begging the question, will they conquer the galaxy with an open hand or a closed fist?

Additionally, Endless Space marks the first Amplitude Studios title to take advantage of GAMES2GETHER, a new platform that lets the community track the development team’s objectives, progress, and achievements, while gaining access to early builds, providing feedback, and discussing the game’s future with the developers themselves, giving them an active role in the future of Endless Space.

I brought this when it was in Alpha and have played around 150 hours worth now.. not had a chance to play the release today yet but this is a good game... has a lot of very nice things about it... only real downside in my opinion is the combat but I guess that's personal preference.. I would give it a solid 9/10... certainly the best space 4x for a long time

I hate review scores but if I had to, I would honestly give Sins 10/10, and if I were a reviewer that would be a very rare event. Sins just has it all, and it's incredibly polished and engaging. I have probably spent more time playing Sins than any other game in my life. Without mods, too!

started downloading the last part today, but got skyrim at the same time so kind of torm between what to play.

i know this will need a lot of attention to play.
