Endless Space - 4x4 Strategy Space Game ( INDIE )

Thanks for the update... Not sure about the card based combat so might wait to see how it's reputation stands up to a couple of weeks play by others first.

How the hell do I move my ships to another system? And why does the AI keep sending ships to my doorstep? They don't attack, communicate or anything, they just sit there. Wtf?

Just right-click to move to another system. If the two systems are connected by a wavy line, that's a wormhole and you need the requisite tech.

As for enemy ships just sitting in your systems, they're invading. Those systems are blockaded, meaning they can't make use of strategic resources (and possibly other penalties). Also, the inner ring will gradually change to the other player's colour; once it gets all the way around, the enemy has conquered the system.

The card-based combat is ****. At first I thought it was just a system of choosing tactics to use in the battles. Unfortunately that's not quite true, because if the enemy plays the opposite card he counters you, and (as far as I can tell) you won't get the bonus from the card that you played.

Who the **** thought that was a good idea in a supposedly turn-based 4X?

How the heck do you trade with the AI? In the diplomacy screen nothing ever pops up so I cant drag anything to trade?

Didn't realise there was an auto assign function I thought it was an auto update function so that as you research tech it automatically updates the design? I only just realised before that on the support modules you can scroll down to choose engines and some other useful stuff...really derpy that i never noticed that before no wonder some of my ships were getting so easily outclassed.

Yup there is a button in the ship designer which allow the computer to do it for you pretty pants though

I think that the deplomacy thing is pretty borked, I can never ask for peace or anything like that....

you have to research peace, trade etc its all on the left hand tree, stumped me for a while also! :D

:mad::mad:

The pirates have ruined both my games now unlike sins of a solar which also has lame pirates. In this one they have bigger better ships than anyone in the known universe at such low turns. They also on many occasions out power you even if you have better tech at the time. For example 3 destroyers 567 total strength them 2 pirateships 800 strength, then you flee and they sit at your planet till it dies. Then more pirateships spawn and pretty much suffocate you. But what's more annoying they don't attack anyone else!

There are a lot of complaints on the forums at the moment about this

Solution - turn pirates off :D

Way ahead of you :D, about 10mins ago I said to myself thats it pirates are being turned off

Yeah I did that after my first game when on about turn 40 a ton of pirates attacked one of my systems and I had nothing to push them back with, then i read afterwards how annoying people are finding them so off they went until they get balanced out a bit of I get better :D

Yeah I turn them off too, they're just silly in this game.

However, in Sins of a Solar Empire they're just fodder for levelling up your capital ships. If you're getting hammered by them you just suck. ;)

Oddly, in my fair game I only saw 1 pirate fleet and they never came near me.
For the first 100 turns or so I was left alone by everyone.

Then the Cravers came.

Ha! I got suckered big time, due to me inexperience with the game, was my first proper game.

I rushed expanded to a hub system that was the only entry into my space, setup a defensive system and a couple of fleets.

100 or so turns go by, I built up the infrastructure/research and eventually an enemy race went to war with me. So I sent out scouts to see what weapons etc. they have, they were just kinetic which I had the research to defend against.

So I sat back, waited for them to attack my hub system, they bloomin went and warped across a short area of space deeper inside my territory, undefended :D

I totally didn't realise the warp ability was buried in one of the research trees :D

My little conquest!, blue one had 13 fleets though versus my 3 :(

AI

I seem to be limited to just three heroes in my fleets oh and the research isn't the best to look at!

The ai cheats like ***** as did the pirates, how the hell are people on the forums saying this beats master of orion 2

The other race had 4 of these, that's 4x13 fleets and they had far less planets than me!. I noticed with every fleet I made, they made 1 fleet per 4!

Game became boring, the combat is retarded and what's even more annoying is they can attack your weakest fleet but you can't use your stronger one until that weaker fleet has been deafeated
