yes it's coincidental it's £15 , but the yearly cap would have been £170p/a cheaper if the green levy was still being paid by the general taxation, as it had under £2.5K epg,
that said - that's massive 50p a day, I don't know if its all billed across the combined standing charge (a big %) or some is distributed in the unit prices
Looking at the energy stats site, both intelligence and go tariffs have had a peak time unit cost reduction of 10p, so that 30p unit rate posted earlier looks like it is actually a new tariff.

Never thought I would find myself agreeing with JRM.
I believe before truss and co changed it, the suppliers were allowed it to fund it how they wanted and I think it was primarily taken from usage revenue. They just had to pay XX amount (£150?) per year for each customer they had.
Ofgem refused to comment, of course they would as they like regressive fixed costs per household mechanisms.

The 30p unit rate is the SVR which started today……
Yes but they not SVR tariffs, so must be just coincidental.

That is pretty insane... oven on full heat, air conditioning on too
I'm not so sure, i just went through sign up, it says they'll switch me over on the 7th but backdate it to the 1st. I don't know if that is because i just signed it today. It could be if you sign on the 6th they'll only backdate 1 day
