Energy Prices (Strictly NO referrals!)

Currently on tracker with Octopus, thanks to this thread, however I have just ordered our first EV. Is someone able to give me a start point or advice between tracker and intelligent go? trying to get my head around which would work out to be the better option but struggling somewhat.

Got the email from Octopus. No idea what to do but thinking of going onto Octopus Tracker with two smart meters.

I hate all this comparison ****. Really tiresome. I don't care, I just want electricity and gas. I don't want to gain a PHD in tariff comparisons.
Ignore it all then and just stay on the standard tariff..

Tracker is fixed price all day, can go high but usually is lower than the price cap rate. Intelligent Go is cheap rates for a fixed period overnight and when charging the car, higher day rate.

The whole energy market is a massive con

We are all having our pants pulled down
i dunno, its certainly not perfect but i would say of all our privatised public services it may be the best operating one of the bunch.... IF you want something totally fair and transparent then something like agile may be a good fit for you....

Intelligent Go as it has fixed hours overnight at a cheap rate and additional slots for "smart charging". Download an app like Octopus Compare so you can see your energy usage comparisons on the tariffs.

Scottish power aren't happy with our break up.

That’s very odd, what have they actually bought from NG? The government are saying that there currently isn’t an organisation that deals with a top down planning of energy distribution, yet have paid NG more than £0.5Bn for something.

Edit: it reads as if they’ve just brought the day to day running of the grid into public ownership. Quite strange.
