Don't get too amped up over it.
Well if I'd been the Russians I'd have turned it off on day one, but I suppose they need the money.
At least the veil is lifted and they're not hiding behind excuses like the Turbine
I assume thats a 3 year deal you got before the hikes?Dunno, I went with them because I got this until 2024...
Electricity unit rate: 18.72p per kWh
Daily standing charge: 23.77p per day
Gas unit rate: 3.834p per kWh
Daily standing charge: 26.12p per day
To be fair this probably works out best on all angles for them, hit back at Europe and make an absolute premium on that which they do pass over.Well if I'd been the Russians I'd have turned it off on day one, but I suppose they need the money.
Is the country running out of cash? After all, this money is all being funneled to the BPs of the world and their share holders.
The windfall tax simply takes a bit of that and gives it back.
Yes my previous fix ran out just as it was all going stupid, so I took the risk and fixed for 3 years, something I'd never done before. I very nearly didn't but it's paid off big time.I assume thats a 3 year deal you got before the hikes?
My first full month on the agile tariff on Octopus has saved me £11 interestingly. I wasnt expecting it to save me money until October.
That isn't how it works.Plus the energy companies will just put the prices up more to compensate for the windfall tax...
Ohm resisting the urge to do something about these puns, even if they are shocking.Don't get too amped up over it.

EDF. There's an early get out fee but I'm hardly likely to do that am I!Damn. Yours is even better than mine!
I'm no complaining though!
Who was yours with?
Obviously if prices don't plummet by 2024 I'm in for a nasty shock...
I got paid 200 cashback for mine, no exit fee. Those days are long goneEDF. There's an early get out fee but I'm hardly likely to do that am I!
Just checked mine, I actually did it in March 21 so earlier than I thought. Very, very lucky and it's saving me a fortune now.I got paid 200 cashback for mine, no exit fee. Those days are long gone
But mines a scandalous 22p elec and 5p gas until Aug 2024
You'll keep quiet if you know Watts good for you!

So glad that I slept on this for the night and by the next morning it was gone. Time moves quick in the utilities world these days. What’s the current opinion on fixing? My OVO fix is up next week and I’m offered elec at 35.79 unit / 54.1 standing and gas at 9.82 unit / 27.52 standing. I think that’s 32% above the current cap. I’m thinking it’s worthwhile to do that for piece of mind and see what a state were in come next June.
