Energy Prices (Strictly NO referrals!)

If it's not exported where do you suggest the gas is stored?

I believe what happen was that the UKs capacity for LNG "production" was above demand and hence we agreed as part of multi national cooperation in the energy market (that happens all the time without any government intervention) to use our facilities to increase "production"* and to then export across the as already stated existing and normal pipes
As discussed before parts of the continent had a shortage of LNG processing as they had used the cheaper direct land route previously

* production being to allow the expansion of the imported liquified gas into its normal state

Part of the problem is most of big oil is american and they seem to have no morals at all.

this, there is / was a 3 part series on BBC called Big Oil v the World, and the practices those large companies like Exxon underwent to discredit and slander real scientists was just as bad if not worse than the stunts DuPont pulled with it's Teflon scandals. The level of corruption is so mad it's almost unreal.

Yeah I was alluding to that, mentioned it elsewhere.
Was an interesting and eye opening series for sure.

So prices to rise even faster, projected +77% cap in October, to raise even higher in January and persist until 2024, and so far only 400 quid grant based on the old price cap increase for October is happening.

It's over, lads. Our society is cooked.

im expecting that 77% to be revised to 85% when its announced on the 26th

Got to love how energy companies are pretty much responsible for these insane rises and yet no politician is willing to talk about them. They're just letting them get on with things.

Average Energy bills not likely to drop below £3k for over a year!

One things for certain, that 400 quid aint going to cut it.

Sure - Almost certain the Government will top that up BUT,.....

Behind that package was a belief that energy prices would fall in 2023 - what was hopefully, a temporary period of high global energy prices.
->However, it looks like the prices are staying high through 2023 so will the package be left in place?

No council tax bills for the year would be a good start

On the radio today, people were talking about how they're having to work two or three jobs to survive. Crazy
Well they'll just have work 5-6 jobs this winter #levellingup

I'm hoping that even the 2 hopeless candidates we have for our new pm realise that further support needs to be put in place for this Winter and likely next with those predictions above.
