I am still not convinced that this isn't a cash raising effort by green. I got that email earlier and to me it seems fishy, almost as if they haven't raised enough cash and are "extending" the deadline again. It could just be me being cynical though.

Blimey, unit prices have shot up! Any providers worth checking out that may not be on the comparison sites? Octopus is coming out cheapest at the moment but still looks like to be a 15-20% hike to what I was paying previously
 
Electric prises have been rising and I was informed they are likely to remain high so don't expect any drops any time soon.

I agree and it's why I didn't put in a penny, as it requires you still be with them in 60 days time for it to take effect. I just didn't trust them enough to risk it.

And looking at this, we may be right to have been sceptical:

Just been informed by work all Green Energy customers are being moved over to EDF starting today.

Thank you for the heads up. This is not good news for me as I still don't know what I have with Green - they just don't know whether I'm electricity or gas. The problem is I should be both having joined for both months ago! It's been a never ending series of problems.

Yup, people need to be clear to which ‘green’ related energy company you are referring to. There are at least 3 or 4 with green in the name somewhere.
 
Green just announced a price rise no ? ... so , I don't know how these stupid fix my bill apps work, but if they tell all the clients to jump ship
(to get the app owners some commission) these kind of offers like Greens may cause people to reflect.

I'd still like an app/mechansim that could tell me historically who would have been the cheapest how bad was my choice over the previous year,
which would educate me about what criteria might be important.
