Energy Suppliers

I have snipped this from my bill to remove identifiable info... Let me know if I'm reading it wrong:

XtCBQDB
/cry

My charges for one month were > £160

Just envious looks

No seriously though, 15p at that time would have been a massive outlier in the market, I see their price now is about 25p, going to be fun for you next winter

Awaiting my envious looks. :p

I was also prudent and have had a large(ish) solar array and home battery installed this year. ;)

I'd be paying whoever had the lowest price per kwh for that 400m3

Believe me I was tempted. But I couldn't risk it. It's so far from 'estimates' they are already insisting on a smart meter to rectify it

If it was 100 I could probably get away with it. By time it's sorted I'd be past it. But 400m3 is a lot of use!

Man you must have just got in before all these were pulled!

I'm hoping my cashback for Scottish Power lands soon! It's over a months bills

Still on Energy Plus Protection Jan 2022v2 from BG here, 2.684p per kwh gas, 14.547p per day standing charge. 14.781p per kwh elec, 18.154p per day standing charge. All inclusive of VAT. They keep harassing me via email to say oh look your tariff is due to end - change now.

You can also contact your bank and use your DD guarantee to get a refund. As you are no longer with AVRO and haven't been for some time, they should be able to undo all DD's that AVRO have taken from you since your official switch over.

That's what I did anyway, cancelled DD to AVRO and contacted my bank to refund the payment they took after I left them.
Thanks for the advice I spoke to the bank and got all the money back.

I changed to the GO tariff on September 24th, so they were still offering it at that price and price capped for 1 year.

Cheap year for sure.

You need the full image path to post as an image, right click it and open in new tab, that should change the url and give you the full one :)

Edit - to be clear open the image using the link you showed. Then right click that image and open in a new tab. The new tab URL will be https://i.imgur.com/txhfwYg.jpeg.

Link that image path here. Your one still doesn't work! :D

Exactly the same as me.!
Not looking forward to future bills.

That bill is CONSIDERABLY below the national average. The cost-cap states somewhere in the region of ~£1300 / year for a household (or £110 a month thereabouts).

£70 / quarter is obscene

Oh I agree and this wasn't a willy waving post by any means. I only realised how much the standing charge has shot up by as the recent news about energy prices has made me look at my bill and be a little more aware.

I pay £33/month combined for gas/Elec and they have suggested I reduce it to circa £25 but I will just keep it as that bill was before the cold days really start so I am expecting March bill to be quite a bit more.

Modern house (medium sized 3 bed)
Modern boiler and system.
Nest thermostats (set to 20oC when on and with schedules and presence detect to be off if house empty)
Energy efficient bulbs, washing machine and fridge/freezer.

Guess it all helps.

The only issue is waiting in trepidation on the large increase come May next year when my fixed ends :(
