Then you have been extremely lucky.
Prudent, not lucky.

Are the standing charges capped by OFGEM? Is this the companies using it to claw back some of what they’re missing?
OFGEM.GOV.UK said:The price cap limits the rates a supplier can charge for their default tariffs. These include the standing charge and price for each kWh of electricity and gas (the units your bill is calculated from).
No, lucky. Because in August 15.6p would have been less than the cost of supplying you. I'd love to see you post the fix.
Also I wasnt an octopus customer so was never offered go.
Do I get a reward if I post it?![]()
Just envious looks
No seriously though, 15p at that time would have been a massive outlier in the market, I see their price now is about 25p, going to be fun for you next winter![]()
I'd be paying whoever had the lowest price per kwh for that 400m3

Awaiting my envious looks.
I was also prudent and have had a large(ish) solar array and home battery installed this year.![]()
/cry
My charges for one month were > £160
Thanks for the advice I spoke to the bank and got all the money back. You can also contact your bank and use your DD guarantee to get a refund. As you are no longer with AVRO and haven't been for some time, they should be able to undo all DD's that AVRO have taken from you since your official switch over.
That's what I did anyway, cancelled DD to AVRO and contacted my bank to refund the payment they took after I left them.

I changed to the GO tariff on September 24th, so they were still offering it at that price and price capped for 1 year.
Cheap year for sure.

No idea why it won't post as a pic with![]()
Still on Energy Plus Protection Jan 2022v2 from BG here, 2.684p per kwh gas, 14.547p per day standing charge. 14.781p per kwh elec, 18.154p per day standing charge. All inclusive of VAT. They keep harassing me via email to say oh look your tariff is due to end - change now.
Our survey says...
That bill is CONSIDERABLY below the national average. The cost-cap states somewhere in the region of ~£1300 / year for a household (or £110 a month thereabouts).
£70 / quarter is obscene![]()
You need the full image path to post as an image, right click it and open in new tab, that should change the url and give you the full one
Edit - to be clear open the image using the link you showed. Then right click that image and open in a new tab. The new tab URL will be https://i.imgur.com/txhfwYg.jpeg.
Link that image path here. Your one still doesn't work!![]()
@HungryHippos cheers, worked but the pic was way to big so removed it, resized now so all good.
I had it at 5p on both a couple of years ago when I was with edf.7p? Are you sure? I've never seen that before
