Energy Suppliers

Hi all.
No son has not got PC on all night.
I will be looking into this tomorrow I was going to do it today but other things popped up as normal.

Shall keep ya all posted though.
 
Hmmm I shall look into that actually I know he does just click click click away LOL and I have formated before due to him just being click happy.

I shall probably test by turning all computers OFF at the wall and see usage in morning ETC :)

Hmmm wife has some chrimbo lights up and on now so yeah they seem to eat electric :(.

Not going to lie some times this meter is a damn pain LOL always watching it ETC ETC

Ok little update.

Turned off computers at night and still was about the same usage over night.
I turned off a few things and check consumption and nothing realy used a huge amount I think its just all the little things adding up to about 400w usage per hour IDLE at night.
Any way still looking into it :)
 
My house uses around 0.3kw idle, so about right.

I use about 20Kw a day, but that is with storage heaters, hot water tank on a schedule and I run a 24U half height rack with 2 servers and Ubiquiti gear throughout. Plus a beer fridge.
 
jesus and yet still only 20K a day.

Hmmmm I do have a server but I turn it off due to using enough elecy as it is wish I could run it 24/7.

hi all well I have made the plunge and went with BULB also used a link so shall be getting £50 :)

bit odd how it gives ya the £50 though I thought it would be a letter with a scan code but nope after first topup they do it VIA bank transfer using there partnered company?.
 
Sounds odd. Bulb credit your account with £50. They don’t send you £50. Did you use an official referral or a third party?

so why do i need to give bank details...I can only imagine its because I am on pre payment meters so they actually dont have my bank details ETC though BG used to just give us a letter with XX amount on it as a barcode due to dual fuel each year.

are you guys on direct debit?.

Had an email from MSE saying I'm paying too much with Bulb, their comparison is saying Outfox the Market is cheapest for renewable energy (as I want to stay green!) but their customer service is rated poor - is anyone else with them and can let me know what they're like?
