England V India ***Clash of the Heavyweights*** Test, T20 and ODI Series

I like him as a steadying influence.

I'd still much rather Prior than Kieswetter as well tbh, think he's just a much better player. Even Davies is better than Kieswetter tbh.

As i said, lots of those 1's would have been 2's on a full sized ground so his S/R would probably be closer to 75 which is perfectly acceptable for an opener/Nr3

Eng finish on 201, should go up by another 10 or so due to D/L

Competitive? might be.. the wicket is bad to bat on

-edit-
D/L has added .... 0 runs.
How do they work that out? We batted most the opening PP, thinking its a 50 over game, and get nothing for it.
D/L is so flawed.

I honestly think we can't be successful with Cook and Trott in the top 3 but we shall see over the India ODIs.

Bit disappointing with the bat but the bowlers are doing ok now. And Fat Sami just dropped Porterfield :(

It's not Trott's fault none of his strike partners stick around long enough to post a decent score.

EDIT: That said, yeah, I don't see where Cook's going to fit in with them both there. Can you imagine them both opening? We'll be setting targets of about a hundred every game.

The problem is neither of them can go up a gear. Even when Cookie's on like 200 he still doesn't play any more extravagantly.

Trott is a brilliant I batsman I think.an average over 50 and a strikerate of nearly 80 is not to be sniffed at

After all dravid's strike rate is 72 and he has over 10,000 runs in the one day format

No one cares about the India-Sussex match?

Rohit Sharma currently attacking quite well, 50 from 48.

So far this year, he's looked to have matured a lot as a batsman, looking forward to him playing in this series.

I think that Sehwag getting injured could be a blessing in disguise. This allows Dravid to seamlessly fit into the team:

Gambhir, Tendulkar, Dravid, Kohli, Sharma, Raina, Dhoni, Ashwin, Kumar, RP Singh/ V Kumar, Patel

That would be my preferred lineup, and even without Sehwag and Yuvraj, it's still a very strong team. Sehwag isn't a big loss, but Yuvraj is.
