I think that's quite unfair tbh. I think the sky commentary and indeed the sky team are excellent. Lloyd is a legend of the same stature as Boycott
I don't think it's unfair at all.
Lloyd is funny at times, but little more than that. Nasser is good, but most other commentators aren't great. Shane Warne loves stating the damned obvious. 'England need a wicket here, preferably Dravid but even Yuvraj will do'
Really?! REALLY?! Was there any point during their bowling that England wouldn't have liked to take a wicket?
Another one, can't remember which commentator, said, as India took the lead:
'England will start to worry now'
Come on, it's only now, that India reach England's score that they start to worry. 'Oh crap guys, India just reached our score, how the hell did that happen, I didn't even notice!"
Also, I generally get a hint of bias from the Sky team. At one point during the Lord's test match they were criticising Dravid's technique for a shot that he plays all the time, that brings him a lot of runs and brought him a fair few boundaries today. I can't understand why they were trying to poke holes in his technique, he's the 2nd highest run scorer of all time, and he's known as 'the wall' because he is so solid.
On the other hand, Henry Blofeld was very fair, he was telling it like it is, and was also very pleasant to listen to.
