England V India ***Clash of the Heavyweights*** Test, T20 and ODI Series

What I do love is that cricket can do this. There would have been the potential for a political row over this, let alone a cricketing one. No other sport in the world is tied that greatly into politics. Remarkable.

It really is a credit to the sport, and the teams involved that an incident like that can be resolved and not blown up as it so surely would in other sports.

He was at fault for sure but only a fool would consider he was attempting a further run. He was making for the pavilion, wrongly I agree but in the spirit of the game you don't capitalize on an error of that nature.

You might disagree but I would say that you don't therefore know cricket.

You might want to tell Morgan that he doesn't know cricket then.

Another update, reportedly from Jonathan Aggers on TMS: Strauss and Flower went to the Indian dressing room at tea and asked Dhoni if he would withdraw the appeal. And Dhoni consented. The umpires did not have a part to play in it.

Indians completely deflated now.

England will pile on the runs easily. They'll keep coming and coming and coming and coming and coming and coming and coming and coming and coming and coming

AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

Apology to any Indian fans here who got offended in the heat of the moment there.

Regardless of if it was right or wrong the Indian fans on twitter/facebook given it all sorts of abuse since the series started, the Indian coms team picking fights with Nasser and co earlier, the DRS drama and then that results in seeing red.
Didn't mean to offend anyone specifically, except those who deserve it ;)

We certainly agree on this point. The abuse Michael Vaughan has been receiving from Indian "fans" has been shameful. I'll add an apology if it might have seemed I was picking on your posts, and arguing with them :)
