Joy, I’ve managed to get TMS to play on the dilapidated PC that I’m on at the council. It still has IE 6 with a version of flash that is so old it cant even load google street view. Streaming live from the R5 site wont work, I’ve managed to find a site that launches it into WMP

I've missed the start of this test - why did Strauss want to bat first? The weather looks better over the next few days so why didn't he put them in to bat first with the overcast conditions?

He wants to bat for 4 days making 3000 runs and then bowl India out twice on the last day.

My guess was to give Anderson more time to recover.

Saw an interesting stat on SkySports live commentary:

"England's batsmen from no.7 to no.11 have averaged 48 runs an innings. India's top 7 average just 26."

That really does show how dominant we've been and how strong our batting line up is these days. Is there anyone in the side who can't even bat a little!

I'd agree with that, he'll get at least 24hr, possibly even 48. Plus Swann bowling spin towards the end of the match at the Oval also sounds good
