England vs India Test & ODI Series *SPOILERS*

Oh well shame, Tendulkar loses out on his century to an absolute shocker of an LBW:eek:...no way was that out. Jammy ginger ninja Collingwood got lucky with that:p...no doubt about it that Tendulkar got cheated out of his century by a shocking decision from the umpire.

England have been pretty weak this second test. The bowling didn't really seem to threaten until later on today. Can't fault India's batting, just what they needed to do. England now need not to lose wickets, a win is probably a big ask for them, but a draw would be possible if they play sensibly for the next day or so.

What's all this about KP dropping his jelly beans on the pitch? I haven't been able to catch up on the highlights so could someone tell the story?

Seems like him and Zaheer Khan had a few words between themselves ie sledging etc. Thats all i have heard about the incident.

Well looks like India have struck again, England are 52/1 with Khan taking Cooks wicket.

All out for 355 which isn't a bad 2nd innings score but losing the toss and having to bat on the first day has seen to us, that's not to take anything away from the Indians as they've played well.
That's the last 2 Tests where the weather has been a major factor, stupid English Summers:(

Well played India and well played Vaughan, a gem of an innings by him. Star for India was Zaheer Khan who bowled brilliantly, hopefully he will keep this form up as India need one top class fast bowler and he has always threatened to become a good bowler but never quite been consistant.

Thought India would have taken the half hour though, wouldn't you just laugh if it rained all day tomorrow ;) That said India weren't gonna gonna make the runs in half an hour anyway...

Must say so far this series the Indian bowlers have been very good and has shocked me as I thought they were in for a real whipping. So far Khan taken 15 wickets at an average of 18.33 and RP Singh 10 at 22.5, they have had nice conditions to bowl in but they have really applied the pressure on the English batsman. Even Pietersen said he was so happy at his century at Lords as that is possibly the best century he has ever made due to the pressure the Indian bowlers had him under. So he rates this century higher than his one at the Oval where Brett Lee was throwing 96mph thunderbolts at him so that says a lot for the Indian bowling. Since I can remember the bowlers have been rubbish and have always said they need to come abroad to develop their skills and look at Zaheer who has had a stint in county cricket and it has done him wonders.

Think also for England Sidebottom has done his chances of sticking in that team no harm either. With the likes of Jones and Flintoff injury prone England didn't really have that top class backup but Sidebottom this summer has really put in a good shout for a place in the team.

Can't you hear the rain dance I'm doing?;)
On the whole India deserve this Test, as far as the series goes though 1-1 would have been fairer but that's cricket and I can't see us bowling you lot out cheap enough twice at the Oval.

Looks like its 1-0 to the Indians, have to admit they really have out-played England. Zaheer Khan grabbing 5 wickets in the process and getting rid of KP in both innings cheaply has been a big bonus and wicket for the Indians. Although i thought Vaughn played a superb innings to get his century.

Some amazing swing that the Indians were getting yesterday, that ball was flying around. Although i didnt think too much of Sreesanths beamer, kinda dangerous to be chucking balls like that around:eek:.

On the whole India definitely deserves to win this match, so will set up a nice finale at the Oval. Still think it will end up in a draw though, the series unless India really take it to the English at the Oval.

India have a bit of luck with weather and conditions this series, but fair play to them they have made the most of it and outplayed us in this match. Shame Vaughan got out in the way he did, if he and Colly could have stayed around a bit longer on Monday we might have stood a chance. Ah well, looks like its gonna be the first losing home series for a few years :(

508/7, I think this series might be slipping away from England. Again a good all round contribution from the whole top order, top 7 all getting above 35 with 5 going past 50. Unbelievable that no India player has got a century yet and feel bad for Sachin as on probably his last match in England he falls short. Looked a bit off the mark but had really got going before he was out. Dhoni with an explosive 92 as well off only 81 balls has really taken it away I think

In this series so far no Indian batsman have got a century, it has been a real team effort but a few out in the 80s and 90s!

Umpires making some howlers today. Karthik and Ganguly unfairly dismissed.
Twice in a row for Ganguly now.

I think Karthik came out and said that he felt he got a thin edge on it even though with all their camera's and snicko they can't seem to find any sign of an edge
