England warm up games **Spoilers**

how class is crouch...

never rated him last year.. but really... his first touch is class.. he has shown great little skills recently.. and that goal was just the cherry on the cake really.

and of all the things to do while celebrating... he picked the one that suited him to a T...

think he can do really well through the world cup.. well done to the lad

im starting to like crouch quite a bit now.my opinion has changed from bad to good when i watched the belarus game, and today watching i think he deserves a place in the England team.

yeh he defoo deserves some part...

he was pulling out some neat little touches tonight, most of the time through his little passes and link up play england go on an attack...

that goal showed he is very confident, he didnt look for the goal once, turned and shot... no hesitation.

think the liverpool fans were great with him when he went through that low confident stage of not scoring... i know a lot of people slated him, but i think most the liverpool fans really showed encouragement when he got the ball through his baron patch.

obviously ever since he scored the first goal he has been pretty solid

Not sure why people are slating campbell, he came on for the last 12 mins and was strong, the only problems he had were:

1) Not being able to run 40m in 2 seconds to get back and cover their throw in
2) Cole playing him a stupid inaccurate pass that forced him to dive in and get booked
3) Ref giving a freekick for a perfectly good strong tackle

agreed.

campbell wasnt on long enough to be judged.

personally i would go rio and terry over sol... but im not going to slate sol.. he is good, he has been great for england... but unfortunately for him john terry is reaching his own peak..

sol has just past it

Haha the robot was classic, love him :D

i was in the kinks when he did that...

he just suits it... its like a geeky thing to do as well.. better than all this hard core gangster celebrations ive seen some players do, he showed he is the uncoolest member of the squad.

well done

I makes me laugh how Crouch gets persistenly criticised even when he plays well, it seems people are finally stopping being biast. He played fantastic today!

As for Walcott, well to be honest he doesn't look like he is going to be a revelation in the world cup. He doesn't show enough bravery or determination to get onto the ball but it will probably be a long time until people start realising he isn't going to single handedly propel England to WC glory. ;) That's not to say he won't be great in several years, but not just yet.

I thought Beckham showed a glimpse of his former greatness and with a bit of luck it will flourish during the world cup - he plays one great game and England create about 5 chances (and two goals) from his lovely crossing alone.

Joe Cole was good as was Ashley Cole and Terry and Ferdinand were comfortable. :)

I think Lennon is a great addition to the England squad (slight OT), in a similar way to Crouch he offers something unique to the England squad (like SWP but, IMO, better) in that he is so direct and pacy - a great shock substitute, I'm sure he'll be used well during the WC. :D

Still haven’t seen anything 'special' from England yet, no world cup winners that’s for sure. Some nice display from Joe Cole, Lampard and Gerrard were quiet so no change there. They have so much to work on; the 3-1 win flattered them. Maybe they never played out of their socks as you would expect but some of the defending and marking was dire, no real flow when passing the ball...

More of the same please! :D :D

holding midfielder...

the one and only...

the one that got away, the overlooked, the unfortunately .. some sort of injury/illness.

SCOTT PARKER.

lol, carragher, carrick, king, hargreaves... taking the..

carrick and king imo would do a great job but i wouldnt mind seeing parker getting a few games.maybe under McCalren he may get a chance?
carrick for the holding role.what hansen said about carragher in DM was tru though,he took too long to pass the ball, slowed the attack down too much(bit like saha dor united.lol).
