English Football [1st - 5th May 2010] **spoilers**

Once again MOTD edit out Rooney taking a vindictive swipe at an opposition player. That's twice on the last 3 games although he did actually get a yellow this time.
He better not carry that attitude over to the WC or he'll find himself getting an early bath. WC refs wont be as tolerant of him as our homegrown guys seem to be.

yea i think the title is over... sure chelsea could drop a bomb but is very unlikely to be fair. perhaps john terry can pop up and do us another favour with some outlandish defensive calamity but im not expecting anything.

chelsea have a mre experienced tougher squad than man utd do....across the midfield and up top chelsea have more of prime age and condition players than utd have done...

for instance in any gicen game you'd probably take malouda over nani, lampard and essien over carrick and scholes (or throw in any of fletcher, anderson, gibson).. valencia has been alright but hasnt exactly set the world alight.

up front chelsea have drogba, anelka kalou... you'd think rooney and berbatov would be a good combination but not being used together and berbatovs failure to stamp his signiture onto utds play in the chances he has had when rooney was out have had an impact on the title race himself.

we need some new harshness, mourinho for example, to come in and flush out all of our loose ends and bring in some new - but experienced faces as the stars such as giggs and scholes do fade out over the next year.

It wasn't that bad, he was probably fed up with the **** of the ref just ignoring Sunderland fouling us at every opportunity. He was kicked in the build up to that and the ref just ignored it, Evans almost had his leg broken and Nani was caught late 3 or 4 times with no foul or card given.

Hopefully the WC referees will be able to see two fouls on a player and blow the whistle without giving players reason to kick out in frustration. Same thing happened with Rafael a few weeks ago.

Vela should have put us in the lead there. Somewhat lazy effort.

Yup pretty disappointed with that but then hes hardly had a game this season :/

Walcott did well to get to the ball to cross it but honestly that should have been a goal there.

Yayyy RVP scores 1-0...

So nice to see him back scoring goals.l..if only he hadnt been injured for so long i think we would have won more games this yr.

Replay i saw, even if he got it the player would have blocked it. Good speed from Walcott though.

Valencia 49 apps- 7 goals.

Nani (played on the wrong side, ankle injury for 2 months)- 33 apps- 6 goals.

In no season has Nani EVER had 50 apps or been played consistently either on his natural side or with a constant run in the team.

You've seen the difference with Rooney when played in his proper position, the same (to a much lesser degree) will apply to Nani.

because Nani has never deserved that amount of appearances. He has always been incredibly inconsistant and no reason to believe anything will change next season

you also miss the point that Nani has been with the team four seasons now vs Valencia one and yet Nani has only just managed to outscore him, Nani also rarely tracks back unlike Valencia which is just as important as the attacking role of that position

From 33 apps Nani should be scoring a huge amount more than just 6 goals after being in the team this long to be worthy of his position in the team

Blackburn cant keep up with the pace of Eboue so have to bring him down twice but tugging at him :/

I still remember just about every united fan on here saying the same about how dissapointing ronaldo was as a show pony for him to then come good. Well everyone apart from Nokkon.
.

Ronaldo started coming good at the age of 21/22 , and there was a lot more in his locker that was evident before that (although the first season or two it was pretty much showing off lots with little progress), I just cant see Nani at 24 showing any real progress apart from individual games (which he has always been capable of - unfortunately very unpredictable as to when)

This game really does have that 'nothing to play for it's the end of the season' vibe from it.

Blackburn can't do anything but hoof long balls. Fab keeps coming for these I get the feeling he'll bugger one up later on.

Nani has won us two games in two weeks and you're still on his back??

Nice to see Arsenal ladies following on from the strong tradition laid out by Arsenal men :D

Our defence looks utterly clueless as usual..Silvestre starting means we are going to concede a goal...only a matter of time.
