English League & European Football [2nd Apr - 8th Apr 2010] **spoilers**

Add in the stonewall penalty we should have had and I don't think man u fans can complain too much.

Chelsea dominated the first half, man u the second. Was pretty disappointed the way we sat back after the break but it did seem like man u were just lacking in creativity. Fantastic result for us. :)

United should have had a pen as well for the foul on Park imo ;)

Chelsea were better, took their chances are were far more creative.

Some Welsh football on now :o

:D

United are allowed wrong decisions in their favor at Old Trafford.

Nobody else is though.

That's not what I'm saying.

I'm just saying it was easier to see the offside. Ideally, neither should have been given, and it may well have stayed 1-0, which I wouldn't complain about because the way Man Utd are playing at the moment is utterly dire.

Was probably 3 penalties today too, as well as a few dodgy decisions. Makes the closing season interesting for the neutral though :p. Arsenal for the title? :D

Just looked up our results after Champions League games this season:

After our first Wolfsburg game, we drew 2-2 at home against Sunderland with a 94th minute own goal from Anton Ferdinand.

After our first CSKA Moscow game, we lose at Anfield 2-0.

After our second CSKA Moscow game, we lost at Stamford Bridge.

After our second Wolfsburg game, we lost at home against Villa 1-0.

After the first Milan game, we lose against 3-1 against Everton.

After our first Bayern Munich game, we lose against Chelsea.

Each one of those performances we did nowhere near enough to secure a proper draw nevermind a win. We've gone back in time to 2003-05 when we barely got points after a Champions League game.

thats four points Chelsea have gained over Utd DIRECTLY from poor officiating imo (the free kick at the Bridge which should never have been given and the offside goal today)

Unquestionably Utd where way too slow in the 1st half, and Chelsea/cole scored a reasonable goal, no arguement at all (bad defending but it was a fair goal). Utd where much better in the 2nd half and strangely when Nani came on, and Utd easily deserved a point from that game as they did at the Bridge

If Utd lose the title because of the points gained/lost over those two games I will be really ******** off (and it will probably be that close), still expect Chelsea and Arsenal to drop points (and maybe Utd too)

Was expecting the backlash from the dire result on Tuesday today, but hopefully its twice as strong on Wednesday now

I think the problem is that Fergie is too timid in the big games, Nani has been on a great run of form lately and should have started, especially as Chelsea are missing their first choice full backs. Every time he seems to pick his team by who we will be playing against instead of just playing our game to our strengths.

It hit his hand - handball.

As Im sure you WELL know that isnt necessarily true

the player has to KNOWINGLY use his hand, from that distance he couldnt have got out fo the way

Drogba also used his hand to defend a goal today - but I wouldnt say that was necessarily on purpose and would have been a harsh penalty

Handball/offside, for me neither goal should have stood. Penalties, I personally think the Anelka one was pretty much a given while Park's, hmm, it was a foul maybe, but it wasn't enough contact to make him go down as he did, he made a meal of it rather than try to stay up and I'm pretty sure that made up his mind not to give the penalty.

The way he went down made me instantly think dive, and on the replay though contact, the way he went down was a dive. Pretty much the two penalties cancel out also. Chelsea were massively better than Utd in the first, and only marginally second best in the second half, deserved winners tbh, with more first team players out also. Other than Rooney Fergie probably started his prefered team, Chelsea were missing Drogba for most of it, Cole, Bosingwa, Carvalho and Essien.

Utd though, Giggs was woeful in the first half, Scholes "long crossfield balls" were awful today, Park was utterly useless and Fletchers "battling spirit" was non existant, Fletchers been woeful most times I see him, the more effective the game he has, the more fouls he's given away. berbatov had little to no service and absolutely no support in the first half. Almost scored a few, none from perfect crosses, distance, moving away from goal did well to get his few chances close to be honest.

Gutted by the performance today :(

Title chase may as well be as good as over... can't see Chelsea slipping up this lead now.

Please Kiko came on and bagged a goal but other than that... =/
