English League & European Football [2nd Apr - 8th Apr 2010] **spoilers**

To be fair to them it is a mickey mouse cup these days. Especially when they let teams knocked out of the main one drop into the 2nd tier cup. Why not let Manu in it now they have been knocked out. That would make it equally as pointless as letting teams in that can't get through the group stage.

Much better when it was just a cup winners cup.

It's a trophy teams like Spurs, Fulham and Everton would love to win and it would mean a great deal to them. For a top 4 club though it's a mickey mouse cup.

Yet it's still a European Cup, if anyone who wins it that weren't in through the Champions League drop should deserve a lot of credit, getting through qualifiers, groups and then having to mix it in with teams that just didn't make it in the Champions League. Have you seen the teams left? They could all be in the Champions League quarters/semi's (ok, probably not Fulham).

I suspect he will be heavily fined and suspended for those comments.

And LOL at Man Utd suckers. Was definately a Red Card. His inexperienced was very visible. Idiot. Haha.

The EPL IS ON BITCHES!!!!! Arsenal to snatch it. ;)

Awh, that post was going so well until you lost all credibility with the final sentence. :D

The squad isn't good enough simple as that, without rooney there's no cutting edge at all.
Nani and Valencia are decent with Nani being better but they are the only threat I can see other than rooney in the entire squad in terms of this level.

the 2nd yellow could have gone either way, then again the first one may have even been red

Dont think there is much doubt, nor should there be any great surprise to see him walk. Not nice to see how Bayern reacted but as Fergie said, they knew what they were doing. Hopefuly he learns from it

And of course that has nothing to do with the top 4 places being Champions League spots, has it?

I'm talking for a top 4 club that drops into it because they fail at the group stage

Which is why I said it's a good achievement for the lesser sides like Spurs and Everton.

Goodnite Utd:D:D...and just absolute lolz at Fergie...what a pathetic sore loser he is...not Bayerns fault that he got a bit too excited Rafael that is then gets himself sent off...right decision and theres no excuse for that. Perhaps Fergie wants to have a word with him and tell him to calm down a tad because quite simply that was the turning point of the match.

And again LOL at Fergie for implying that the better team didnt win..ermmm you were beat comprehensively at Bayerns ground then go 3-0 up on Bayern...only to let them score 2 goals...sorry imho the better team did go through.

Saying that kudos to Utd for holding out so long after going down a man....thought Bayern were going to score a few but Utd also had a few good chances in all honesty.

Looks like its a Bayern vs Barca final...as long as Barca get past Inter and Bayern get past Lyo...who go through 3-2.

Don't blame Bayern for protesting to the ref, the blame SURELY goes to Rafael for making a foul which 9/10 gets a yellow card. Very silly to foul a player from behind when he's breaking to your goal. Inevitably a yellow

Yes, but it's also a yellow waving around for a card to be given. Quite a few referee's wouldn't have given it as a second yellow (particularly in England), but as we've seen the European refs do call....pretty much everything (and some clean tackles for lulz).
