English League & F.A. Cup Football [19th - 24th Mar 2010] **spoilers**

It's also pretty clear Torres deliberately kicked the penalty spot before Rooney took his penalty. That was no accident or coincidence.

I didn't think it was a penalty either. :p

Torres would have never been in a position to kick the spot had the pen not been given :p

Good luck stopping him Arsenal :o

I reckon you could say that about any team that has to face Barca...i know we probably will get our asses handed to us but theres no great shame in that...im looking forward to the games against Barca although i should be dreading them but to watch Messi at his best is something else....just need to bag a few tickets for the Emirates and im there \o/.

The guy was simply amazing tonight...another demolition job by him...id really hate to be a defender having to defend him.

Messi in recent weeks has really made me defending my argument about Rooney being the better this season increasingly hard :(

What's that 8 goals in his last 3 games?

:o

4th place lost well before today, yes an appalling refereeing decision cost us today's game but these things happen

You can't rule out Arsenal. I can now see Chelsea finishing 3rd tbh.

this

but

For some reason I still think it's between us and Chelsea. I just don't think Arsenal have enough winners and the mentality to be champions, if it gets down to 5 games to go and every game matters I can just see them slipping up more than Chelsea and United who have multiple players who have been there and done that before.

Just read some of the quotes attributed to Rafa on BBC. I say attributed as we know how the scouse brotherhood like to claim Misquote or he didn't say something or it was took out of context. But he really beggars belief at times.

Only time will tell.

Certainly going to be the most interesting finish for many years.

I still think it's Chelsea's to loose. Out of the top 3, Arsenal appear to have the easier run in but I think Chelsea will just pull there stuff together in time to stutter over the line.

Utd have 2 deffo European games, Possibly 4 or 5 which in all honesty is an unwelcome distraction. Given the choice of the Premiership or the Champions League I would take the Prem hands down right now

Yes 19th title would mean a great deal (eventually outdoing that unruly mob from down the road), but for SAF to win his 3rd CL and the club's fourth (as well as 3 finals in a row) I think means more

Still difficult games in the CL ahead undoubtedly, but the draw was incredibly kind and its unlikely we will get as easy a route to the final for a long while so Utd should make the most of it

anyone see Rooney limp off the field yesterday as some papers are reporting? Supposedly same knee that he was having problems with a couple of weeks ago

Would be a shame if he got injured. Maybe he should rest it for the remainder of the season for the summer ;)

noooo the only way to keep him in this form is to keep playing him (keeping his eye in as it where) :D

edit - here is a facht for Rafa

Liverpool are nearer on points to Sunderland (13th) than they are to Man Utd at the top!!!!

sod unwelcome. I'd rather be in it like Us and le Arse than having been dumped out by this stage. If we're good enough we'll cope.

To be honest with Rooney i think this weekend might be the perfect time to start him on the sub bench anyway.

Bolton late kickoff, so yeah I think you may be right - especially with Giggs back, maybe try a five man midfieild and Berba upfront , and give Rooney 30 minutes or so if need be to warm him up for Bayern and Chelsea

Rest Rooney? No way... He always plays worse when he has been rested! He has all this week to rest so why would he need to rest on Saturday too? If we are 2/3 up after 50/60 mins then Fergie can pull him off.
