English League & F.A. Cup Football [19th - 24th Mar 2010] **spoilers**

Agreed, a lot of nonsense being spoken lately about Arsenal being genuine title contenders, yet not only is their points:games ratio worse than a couple of sides, they also aren't doing enough about their goal difference. They really need to be beating sides down the bottom by 3s and 4s not 1s and 2s if they want to get into contention.

No they don't...

Of course they're in contention, what a silly thing to say they're not. And why do they need to be beating some teams 3-0 4-0... Chelsea a few seasons ago were infamous for playing out 1-0 wins against everyone. Look at the success that got them.

Last I checked the aim for every team was 3 points from a game, not a +5 goal difference.

allow me to quote the Fast and the Furious.

"It doesn't matter if you win by a second or a mile, winning is winning!" - Vin Diesel.

Even Vin Diesel spouts more sense than you. ;)

My point was they need to be beating the 'lesser' teams by more than 2 goals, whether that's 3-0 or 10-7. You wouldn't expect them to get more than +1 (at best) against the likes of Spurs and Man City and they are currently 6 goals behind MU.

Now admittedly Arsenal have an 'easier' run-in than their so-called rivals and with them playing each other one or both are guarenteed to drop points. The concern is that in order to capitalise on that you want to be in a situation where you are ahead on goals. Last day of the season is:

Arsenal vs Fulham
Chelsea vs Wigan
Man Utd vs Stoke

So basically you'd say that with a fullhouse cheering them on all three sides could be capable of rattling in a few in the secondhalf if points are level, but you need to at least get within touching distance.

You do know Arsenal are the highest scorers in the league don't you?

I dont think we are crying over it. This is a football forum and we talk about incidents in the game. That was a talking point which we are allowed to give our own opinions. Mine is that it shouldnt have been red, yours is that he should see red. No need to go trolling.

However...if we lost the game because of it then you might have seen some tears from Arsenal fans :p

oh the ironing :D

No, my opinion, on this football forum was that it was a red card ;)

Its not a goal scoring opportunity if the striker isnt in control of the ball. Plus Verm got the ball, does matter if the striker goes down if he got the ball.

Actually if it was reversed I would say we got the penalty and we will gladly take it but it wasnt deserved. :p

Not sure why you are moaning about Bendtner when he has nothing to do with the situation? Just makes it sound like you are trolling more to get a reaction.

The striker didn't have chance to controll the ball though did he? :p
He was taken out ;)

If it was reversed (so for example Upson (yes I'm bringing a West Ham player in to this as well)) fouled Bender you'd have no problems saying it was a red card.

I wasn't moaning about Bender, He was the first Arsenal forward I could think of for my example. I must be looking for a reaction from some West Ham fan because I bought Upson in to this aswell. hahaha :D

Not long till we beat UTD :D I hope Torres makes Vidic/Rio look very silly again. Im surprised Fergia/Rafa aint done their usual lets talk crapola prior. On a side note before some one comments reason im confident is due to in the bigger clashes are form can be dire but then we will do well and what happens after goes either way.

Also mostly yes it is hope but putting a dint in UTD getting close to another leage title would be rather awesome as im sick of them getting it would much rather it be Arsenal/Chelsea since were not in the run in
