P'S it's the football league or premier league, not English league ; Welsh teams play hence football leage
Agreed, a lot of nonsense being spoken lately about Arsenal being genuine title contenders, yet not only is their points:games ratio worse than a couple of sides, they also aren't doing enough about their goal difference. They really need to be beating sides down the bottom by 3s and 4s not 1s and 2s if they want to get into contention.
My point was they need to be beating the 'lesser' teams by more than 2 goals, whether that's 3-0 or 10-7. You wouldn't expect them to get more than +1 (at best) against the likes of Spurs and Man City and they are currently 6 goals behind MU.
Now admittedly Arsenal have an 'easier' run-in than their so-called rivals and with them playing each other one or both are guarenteed to drop points. The concern is that in order to capitalise on that you want to be in a situation where you are ahead on goals. Last day of the season is:
Arsenal vs Fulham
Chelsea vs Wigan
Man Utd vs Stoke
So basically you'd say that with a fullhouse cheering them on all three sides could be capable of rattling in a few in the secondhalf if points are level, but you need to at least get within touching distance.
I dont think we are crying over it. This is a football forum and we talk about incidents in the game. That was a talking point which we are allowed to give our own opinions. Mine is that it shouldnt have been red, yours is that he should see red. No need to go trolling.
However...if we lost the game because of it then you might have seen some tears from Arsenal fans
Its not a goal scoring opportunity if the striker isnt in control of the ball. Plus Verm got the ball, does matter if the striker goes down if he got the ball.
Actually if it was reversed I would say we got the penalty and we will gladly take it but it wasnt deserved.
Not sure why you are moaning about Bendtner when he has nothing to do with the situation? Just makes it sound like you are trolling more to get a reaction.
whats Fergie said 'off the record' then?
