English League Football [30th Jan - 3rd Feb 2010] **spoilers**

personally think a win and a draw will keep you in the race for the time being (obviously two wins is far better though)

You will undoubtedly "win" points off one if not both of the above when Utd take on Chelsea at OT - although I think thats April so a little time to wait yet

Personally I have a horrible feeling Utd wont turn up at OT on Saturday and Pompey will get a surprise result ( even a draw would be a surprise after all ), and Utd will have wasted all the effort put in on Sunday to win at The Emirates

Hm that's only 5 points from the 4 games, I thought 6 or 7 would be needed to stay firmly in the race, that said, nearly all the hard games will be done and the run in is remarkably easy, good chance to get a run going.

Its also a pretty strange season for results all around - with teams dropping points unexpectedly so when in any other season "easy win" may well become "a hard fought draw" (mind you that could work against Arsenal with their "easy" run - in :D)

No chance, since the Hull away game we've really sorted our form out (despite the Leeds game) and I have no doubt that we're going to destroy Portsmouth on Saturday

In terms of Arsenal I think Chelsea will easily see them off on Sunday, Liverpool are turning their results around (even if they are still ****) so I fancy them to get at least a point when they go to the Emirates. Dont forget they have to go to Stoke at the end of the month as well = more dropped points

Can only hope we either beat Chelski or Liverspuds...win one and get a draw out of the other or perfect result would be 2 wins from both games but i cant see it happening:(...we will get ripped a new one by Chelski like they did to us back in Nov at Emirates a 3 goal spanking. Liverspuds might get a result from us as well as much as i hate to say it.

Fact is that until we find our killer instinct in front of the goal we wont win many games..we should have bagged 3 pts against Villa last week but we didnt...beat them pretty comprehensively when they came to the Emirates a few mths ago. And Wenger needs to dump that utter muppet Denilson...hes had his chances and doesnt make the best of them...sure he has one or 2 good games but thats against weaker opposition...its time Wenger gave Ramsey more games as hes pretty much the future i feel...but we all know he will stick with Denilson...its time that Wenger got rid of these deadwood players ie Denilson, Walcott, Bender boy and a few others and get players who have the grit and determination to win games and not give up.

I'd argue that Villa should have bagged the 3 points, given the two sitters that Downing missed

As for the game at the Emirates you never looked like scoring till Fabregas came on so I dont think you comprehensively beat them ;)

Arsenal hit the woodwork twice and Ramsey ruined a certain goal too by running in front of Rosicky. Selective viewing or just baiting?

The game at the Emirates was one of the most comfortable wins of the season, Villa barely left their half, never mind putting together attacks

I have to say, your comments on Arsenal games are almost invariably wrong, do you even watch them or just pick up on what the press say?

You do talk some **** dont you??:p...of course we beat them comprehensively...yeh ok it only happened when Fabregas came on but still he made the difference and once he came on...we ripped Villa a new one, its as simple as that...whether or not you agree or disagree is up to you but plenty of people here said we took Villa apart.

As for the other week against them??...we should have beaten them...we missed a fair few chances...more than what Villa had against us;)..

Regardless of whether or not Villa left their own half they were dealing with you fine until Fabregas turned up, had he not come on then you wouldn't of won simples

Likewise the game at Villa park, 2 sitters for Downing, a Carew header just wide from a corner - they had just as many chances as you so a draw was a fair result

And yes I did watch both games

Many games at the Emirates are always very similar though, team runs around defending for 60 - 70 minutes, eventually get tired and then Arsenal score a few. That's what happened the other week. I was stunned at how defensive Villa were tbh. They usually give it a good go but they just didn't. Seemed content with a draw on the night

You didn't say the draw was a fair result above, you said Villa should have won :(?

Trying to wind me up??...lol well you failed miserably there fella...sadly for you i dont allow myself to get wound over comments made on here lol...everyone has their own opinions on certain teams and games..

and how amazing Blackberrys are ;) :p

LOL well they are Tummy, much more than the crapphone;):p.

Btw hows the battery life on the crapphone doing??...managed to **** out the apple that was shoved up your backside by Apple;):p:D

It's not going too badly, I charge it whenever I'm not using it and I'm at home (just stick it in the dock and it looks nice :) )

It lasts quite well imo, I was out driving with a friend (using the map feature) for a good 3/4 hours + my friend spent ages on Guitar hero. All this was after a full day and it was still "okay".

Good good, glad to hear that its working out for you:).

Anyhow back to football...ermmm yeh we need to win either at Chelski or Liverspuds to keep us in the title race but i think theres a very good chance that it wont work out that way. But can only hope we get the results we want from those 2 games.

Arsenal won't beat Chelsea imo, Chelsea are playing quite well at the moment.

Liverpool could be an opportunity for Arsenal to pick up points as Liverpool aren't playing too well. (despte being unbeaten in something like 7/8 games)

I thought Arsenal were really poor against United.

Well im hoping we get a draw from Chelski...bit far fetched but i think its the best we can hope for...not so sure about Liverspuds...we struggled to beat them last time at Anfield...only beat them due to Wenger having a go at them i think as they were totally different in the 2nd half compared to the 1st half.

And yes we were absolutely diabolical against Utd on Sunday...our defence went to pieces and we couldnt muster up any sort of killer touch when we were attacking them...personally i think the game would have been much different if we had RVP back..saying that if he didnt get injured i think we would be giving Utd and Chelski a good run for their money right now and wouldnt have dropped points against lower teams like we have been doing.
