English League Football [6th - 10th Feb 2010] **spoilers**

Bugger, the financial director is a West Brom fan, no doubt he'll be gloating about being top and there's not much I can say back :(

Really? Just goes to show what low standards Bolton fans have. I wouldn't say he was poor but he was a long way from being amazing. He played a few nice passes but nothing special and for every decent pass there was a really poor one too.

The way Bolton play didn't really help him though.

I just read that he had a great first half and played some great stuff but the players around him weren't quite on the same wave length. Sure he'll improve, good first game in CM vs 3 DM's apparently, not an easy task for anybody, let alone a 17 year old. In perspective it seems he had a good first half anyhow

Bolton fans do have low standards, I imagine they're shocked that he can control the ball on purpose

Edit - Only going off comments from others such as

'I usually hate and laugh at arsenal fans fawning over young players, but wiltshire looks completely opposite to every other young player in England. He looks brilliant. Intelligant and technically brilliant.'

Take from that what you will, think that was from a Man Utd fan too

The thing that still irks me more than anything, is we're giving Theo circa 50k a week, mostly to ride the bench and to when on the field do nothing. Wilshire, not close to match fit, did more in a poor side in a match with little quality around him than Theo's managed in the last 2 years.

WHy on earth wouldn't we give Wilshire games alongside Fabregas and co, but we'll start Theo whose a significantly worse player already. Wilshire is faster on the ball, willing to run it, puts in tackles, holds the ball better, is FAR stronger than Theo, can pass, shoot and read the game.

He should be in proper rotation, playing quite a few games for us, he's better than Theo by a mile now, imagine him in a half dozen games, match fit, stronger, with a bit of form, and Wenger decided to ship him off and keep Theo.

A potentially great player will only improve faster and be better in the end, if he learns alongside the likes of Fabregas. Theo's had chance after chance after chance after chance, and been pathetic every single time. Of all the crap youth players we've had who got chances in the first team, both the Hoyte's, Aliadiere, and Theo, I just think loaning him out, when we're desparate for a little pace and quality in attack is madness.

Wilshire really wasn't that amazing last night, but he is just a massive step up from Walcott, someone who simply let the ball roll out of play so many times its embarassing because of his complete lack of ability on the ball.

Calm down dm there's no rush on Wilshere, it's obvious him and Ramsey are being built up to replace Cesc anyway

Eh? Its not about a rush, but why are we starting a useless player, and sending a much better player out on loan? If Wilshire plays 10 games alongside, Taylor, or 10 games alongside Fabregas, where will he progress more? If we had Pires and Freddie, Overmars and Rosicky on the bench all at their best, sure loan him out. We don't have a single actual winger at the club, and we sent our best current winger out on loan, for no reason I can fathom.

Actually, there is a rush, if we played a better winger against Chelsea, maybe we'd have won, okay, we wouldn't of, maybe he would have done something useful, or given it away less.

If you take a list of players, rank everyone, you should be looking to offload the worst and play the best, Wilshire would be towards the top of that list, Theo might be flat bottom of that list.

He's made out he can't spend this morning, because we can't afford to be in debt 150mil a year, but REPLACING Theo on high wages, with someone who can play football on high wages, wouldn't come close to putting us in debt, its another excuse. He'll stick by Theo for another 3 years, he'll fluke into a half season of okay performances, he'll leave, and we'll buy the next Theo and stick by him for years for no reason.

Wenger just can't see how completely awful Walcott or Denilson are, and while he gives them new contracts and more money every year, we get worse, lose better players and have less money to spend on better players.

I've said it before Fergies made far more expensive mistakes, owned up to them moved on and won things because he made the changes that needed making. Wenger, can't see the problem, won't make the change, and we win nothing.

You probably don't understand things as well as you think. Starting a 17 year old with no prior experience in the most intense league in the world, at CM, in a team that was fighting for the title. Hmm .. Yes, sounds like a fantastic idea.

Cracking game. Vintage Blues! Can't wait for March 28th :D

Should be a god atmosphere at a half full Wembley :p

Will be surprising to see how many tickets get allocated or if anyone gets banned for attacking the Leeds players after the game though.

Maybe you don't understand things as well as you think. How old was Fabregas when he played regular first team football?

Fabregas is an exception though in that he matured remarkably early. How many other players can you name that were starting at the highest level when they were 17?

If you don't play them then you never know how good they are. Maybe he should have had a chance to show if he is good enough. You should not dismiss someones chance on age alone.

Just the 1 change for us, Skrtel in for Kyriakos:

Carra-Skrtel-Agger-Insua
------Masch-Lucas
Kuyt----Gerrard----Maxi

There's something fishy going on with Vidic, he was due back at the beginning of January and ever since seems to be ruled out a few days before the next game.
