Epic TTS

buys Lamborghini calipers.
refurbishes Lamborghini calipers
applies crap decal to Lamborghini calipers
has Lamborghini calipers that dont look like Lamborghini calipers.

Does nothing for me but each to his own. I'm sure it's a winner with ze Laydeez.

I'm more of a RS4/6 Avant guy so whereas matey there will be taking the girls home, I'd be taking a 4 pack of lager and a blue movie home :(

;)

OMG, I didn't bother checking further in. DEM SEATS.

(near the bottom of pg9)

As in good omg or bad omg? I'm seeing bad omg with that stitching colour... Looks like something out of Tron. Everything being orange and black just looks a bit rank. Definitely not the kind of car I'd look twice and admire if spotted on the road.

To be fair I think that is 'standard'. Or at least came from the factory like that (like Audi exclusive interior trim) or come with the external colour.

EDIT: ah okay, read a bit further to see he put in cobra seats after a few pages.

Gave up after I was all the ICE being used on the first page.... Not my kind of "Epic"

Been in a mk2 RS ;)

Thought not, go on the GTR owners club and see how many have traded their GTR in for one! Far more involving bolt on modded TT RS will beat a stock GTR and far cheaper to run, nicer to be in and just generally more involving. Yes GTR is faster, but on the road people that have owned both rate the RS more.

He has a Mk1 V6 before this and did very much similar things.

Is this a joke? First time I've heard anyone state that a TT-RS is faster off the line and more involving than a GTR!

I've felt ill today and the seats nearly tipped me over the edge. :p

Orange and black might work on a computer, but in a car, especially one that certainly doesn't need some **** trying to improve? Laughable. :D

You have just answered my own post. There is more to an involving drive than straight line speed. Also comparing a modded tt to a standard gtr is apples and oranges. Don't get me wrong the mk2 is a massive improvement over the mundane mk1 but an involving drive?!

I know of one person on the GTROC that has a TTRS, so not sure how many you've seen have swapped a GTR for one? I know I'd much rather be driving round in my chubby Datsun than a spruced up hairdressers car ;)

It's the endless argument of stock vs modded. Modded can always win regardless of base spec.

Stage 1 TTRS vs GTR is probably equal or thereabouts in a straight line. Get some bolt-ons for the GTR and it will walk it. Take the TTRS to Stage 3 (£13-15k?) and then it will blow the GTR away no doubt. Spend the same on a GTR and I'm sure it'll fly past the TTRS.

Jonny Cocker had a Stage 3 TTRS (660hp) and there's a video of him pulling away from a 600hp GTR with ease, of course it will, it had 60hp more, rolling launch and weighs about 300kg less.

Stock vs Stock, the GTR is quicker.
Modded vs Modded, whoever has the biggest wallet wins.

And as above, there's much more to driving than in a straight line. Just take a look at Ring times to see how significant the difference between a TTRS and a GTR is.

Well yes I know, but the strange thing is people do compare them!
I have a MK1 - Very far from stock! 2.0L GTX30R76 Track toy!

Agree, I know (well know names) of 3 guys that sold their GTR for TT RS.
Jonny C was the dev car.

For 10K you can get drive in Drive out 600bhp with APR (tho we all know all the extra that MIGHT be added). But TT RS for 20k and 10k for 600bhp is a stock 30k GTR so £ for £ same cost!

Tell me where you can get a nice TTRS for £20k?

I could chuck 10k at my celica and be at 600bhp? Whats your point? I would rather see the reflection in the window of me in a GTR than looking like a ponce in a TT even with less power.
