If United have to pay a reported £13.5 million to ETH aren’t they restricted by financial regulations? If so, free agents are probably high on the list. Xavi, Terzic, Allegri, Zidane and Southgate would be the A listers.
Stability and a good man manager is what United need most, at least in the short term.
No, the PSR rules don't apply to them.

Is any of it true mind? He had similar reports when we were supposed to get him.

His name comes up too often when any club needs a manager almost like they want rid

Considering the amount of whoring out he did before the season ended he will take it if offered. He's the profile of manager they should be looking at though, young and upcoming - the only mark against him would be hes another 'one club' manager. And more importantly he speaks better English than a guy that's been in the country for 3 years :p

Just catching up on things.

Given there isn't a single stand out manager who is a guarantee of anything, Amorim would be a great appointment. He would be my and probably most other fans first choice. I'm not an expert on him admittedly, but what I do know about him, I like. I didn't think he'd want to leave Sporting mid-season, but I guess he's open to the move...

Whatever your views, he's a far more interesting manager than Southgate/Potter/etc. I was hoping they wouldn't be sat there waiting to give RvN the job if he managed to go on a decent run, that would have been a mistake.

This week is going to end far better than it started! At last.

Is Amorim not potentially another Ten Hag?

Is Man Utd going to make Amorim another Ten Hag should be the quote.

This club ruins people.

it doesn't  Where on earth did you get that from?
all ive said is that i dont think your squad is suited to how he plays and Neville will have to do some fantastic backtracking from his comments regarding ten hag not being sacked in the summer.

You are posting in a United thread more than United fans.......

Amorim is my top choice but he is still just another young manager in a average league that's been successful. Will we see the bounce back first season at Utd? Then when things aren't going so well the usual suspects think there undropable and down tools. Some of them have been here since Van Gaal and are still drawing a wage. INEOS need to set a precedent that this is there man and your either onboard or pack your bags.

Who has downed tools?

I think this is what's more damning for ETH, the players were trying, they just weren't able to take on board what he wanted. I'm sure a few of them didn't like him though.

I'm going to go with a yes but once again, with seemingly no plan in place, I'm not sure what else to expect. Maybe we get lucky and he's good?

Why is there no plan? For all we know Ashworth was always planning to get Amorim, with his coaches, and then sign the best possible players that fit his system. To be honest it's on the manager to make it work, just because ETH failed doesn't mean everyone else will. There is no obvious elite manager who would walk in and fix everything - football is not that simple.

We need a strong manager who takes no **** from players, not afraid to drop the big money earners either. A manager who knows tactics and how to adjust them to suit the current state of play in any given game. A manager who will make substitutes when actually needed, not wait to give players 5 minutes at the end of a game. A manager who can work with young kids.

I have zero knowledge of this Amorim, I have seen he has done well with his current team but from what I can make out, the Portugal league is like the Dutch league, a few levels below the Premier league. I have no idea what to think.
