Some of the classes I went to took register, mainly labs so they would know if your lab reports were based on actual lab work. Otherwise it was to catch out students who didn't go to lectures then went to the lecturers for help afterwards.
They would just say that you should have gone to the lecture if they had a record that you didn't.

If there are a lot of foreign students on your course they may do so as well, cause if foreign students are not going to classes they get kicked out the country, so maybe it has more to do with that than "nonsense degrees" and hand holding.

They blocked my account because of the low attendance which has now climbed to 32%. Something's obviously missing from my timetable. I've booked an appointment to see someone about that tomorrow.

I dont understand why you all expect me to jump up immediately and do something about it. I only found out about it yesterday evening, and I've sorted it this morning.

When something gets stolen from my office, I'm sure to send random accusatory emails to completely innocent parties on a whim. Then I sit back, and watch for the one that does the shifty eyes. :cool:
 
so basically, you've got no mates, so you thought you'd steal a hdd to get back at the system that has so scorned you with a dodgy timetable, and are confused as to why you can't login?

well i know napier was like that as long as u did the work and got good marks they didn't mind if u didn't attend every class :< hoping for the best for u

Don't know why everyone slates Asim so much for the MAC-10 thing, yeah everyone on ocuk lives in some middle class area but still, he probably does know someone who could get a gun pretty much instantly.

Because they don't know him that well and thus becomes a target for narrow minded people. Par for the course in GD if you ask me.
