erm... I think they've kicked me out of uni

No, 1000s of idiots need razing. They're using uni as an excuse not to work. Get rid of them. We might have another here.

to be fair there isn't much work or alternative training opportunities. i feel forced into uni like 10000s of others but currently it is the only way i can get into the career i want.

people will moan even more if all the uni students go and sign on !

dave will sort it though. by upping uni fees and forcing more people to sign on. even the uni lecturers and admin staff will end up signing on when attendances half :p

There's a lot of people with egg on their faces in this thread.

Even in our 600 + lectures we have 'registers'. A little barcode scanning device is passed round and we have to scan the barcode on our student card which registers our attendance. I thought that was the norm for most unis. :D
lol why dont they just stick it near the door so you do it on the way in ?

we have to do that in labs. possible for insurance/safety purposes

our registers are only there so that if you fail and havent turned up to any lectures the uni can easily refuse you a re-sit. showing up is still pretty optional though.

I thought unis didn't care if u showed up or not as long as u did the work??

well i know napier was like that as long as u did the work and got good marks they didn't mind if u didn't attend every class :< hoping for the best for u

Wobbs

Some unis like mine arnt too fussed on the whole although it depends on the module, I know others and even some other courses at my uni will fail you even if your work is top class if you havent attended enough

hahaha

now I cba in reading 9 pages of a thread but I will say this

( I don't go to uni btw I know people that do)

for a start, you have not stated what uni at all or has he and I ve not seen?

second if you went to the freasher week or intor week, you would know what to do about the time table, etc...at uni your a young adult its on you not them, same for college to a degree.

lastly they are not booting you due to attendence its quite abvous that timetable may be messed up a bit, they are most likey booting you due to the HDD that went missing when YOU was at that PC.

If you didn't talk to them, keeping it belted up is a way of saying "yeah I done it what you going to do about it"
