Escape from Tarkov

Right, I'll start working on that then! Cheers for the help. If anyone is up for a raid or two hit me up.
I would highly recommend you level your hideout, it will provide you the ability to craft meds, ammo, quest items and other vital resources to which you can make substantial roubles.

It is the first thing I aim to do, I am stuck on labs however looking for the far forward converter to upgrade solar power.

Is this game any easier. I remember it being almost impossible for me to get going, even joined a few good people that I know that stream their game play and know what they are doing…but I still couldn’t mentally nor skillfully get very far.

Been a few years since I’ve tried it. I think I died and couldn’t play again due to a timer…it’s all that vague…

I'm not new just haven't played in a very long time. The first quests I have got are all in there unfortunately.
That was more point probably didn’t convey it well, that is the whole issue with ground zero you are forced to go there for tasks so any brand new players get this start.

If it makes you feel better I got absolutely railed in ground zero and I play regularly

Not really easier but the recoil changes help. You've got to stick at it to get anywhere, I've got 500 hours in it and struggle but I'm not totally s*** anymore

I've not extracted once as PMC yet.

Took 3 of us with a combined total of 13k hrs 4 raids for one of us to survive.

There are too many players on a condensed map.

It’s not a good experience, I felt like I’d done a full wipe just completing the tasks on there.
How many quests are on there? Makes me feel a bit better knowing how tough everyone finds it.

From memory it’s around 5/6.

What they have done is made these the precursors for the usual missions you usually get.

Genuinely, it was the roughest experience I have had in Tarkov in all the wipes I played. We all expected to walk in and walk out, we were wrong.. very wrong!

Once you are through them though it’s business as usual however some of the tasks have been changed up I.E. punisher 4 is on lighthouse instead of shoreline and as a bear that has made for an “interesting” task

Well this evening has been a reminder of why I stopped playing ages ago, getting gibbed by pretty much everyone. I can't afford to keep buying armour and guns so trying naked runs to get the quest objectives so I can get out of this map! 1/2 the time I'm dead with 3 minutes. Not particularly fun.

EDIT
Thought I'd give it a go with some of my decent gear I was holding onto, game crashed on load, didn't reconnect and I lost everything. Garbage how this is happening still.

EDIT 2
1 more try with decent gear, hit someone 7 times doing over 310 damage and die to 3 hits.

I think that's me done. It was pretty tough when I played regularly and had quite a kitted out HQ and had progressed loads of the quests. It's not a game to play casually.

There is an update today -

I am hoping the snow is gone and they rework the ground zero map/quests.

The problem I have with my regular players is we are above the ground zero cap of 20 so I can’t even come with you to help.

Let’s see what the update brings if there is any changes that allow or permit then I will happily log on with you and provide some sort of assistance.

Patch notes, still snowy ...

  • Fixed incorrect ammo penetration and damage calculations in some situations;
  • Fixed the ability to inspect and modify unexamined armor lying on the ground;
  • Removed the display of integrated armor component prices on the trading screen;
  • Fixed the incorrect behavior of Rogues when defending the water treatment plant buildings on Lighthouse;
  • Reduced the loudness of footsteps on snow;
  • Fixed the inability to complete some quest conditions;
  • Fixed an issue that caused infinite loading into a raid when playing as Scav in some situations;
  • Fixed visual effects of bloom and sun glare on all locations;
  • Interchange color correction is now closer to other locations;
  • Fixed the lack of fog in optical sights in some situations;
  • Fixed the inability to pick up some items, including quest items;
  • Fixed the ability to pass through solid obstacles in some situations;
  • Fixed the ability to transfer items displayed in the Hall of Fame for quests;
  • Fixed the Airdrop loot appearing as not Found in Raid;
  • Increased spawn points for Scavs on the Ground Zero location.

Had my first ever bluescreen on my PC tonight after installing the patch, managed 1 raid and it crashed as I loaded in for a skav run. Just before that I finally made it to the lab in terragroup and some fully kitted pmc was just hiding in the room. So frustrating.

Tried spt? I personally find it more fun as you avoid the hackers plus bsg seems awful to deal with. Slow to fix anything, terrible servers, horrible policy around arena release, full of hackers, beta on going for years despite charging a high price for eod, random bans of popular streamers occasionally... The list goes on.
