Escape from Tarkov

Looking at the different bundles you can buy it looks pretty pay to win no? I mean can are legit just buying guns and ammo?

The starter bundles are just stash sizes are they not? Plus these can be increased within game with no need to spend any real money.

I've had this since release so not sure what the different starter tiers are like now but it's definitely not a P2W game, you have to grind in game once you've used up any starter bonus gear.

Just get the base game then? no major disadvantage?

I bought this finally but was quite annoyed that the price of 25e is actually 34e once the payment fee and VAT has been added. Eugh. Now to see how long it takes for my verification email or whatever to come through.

Edit - It was instant ish. It was in the transaction section of My Profile, and has a bit install launcher button.

There are some advantages to buying the higher tier packages, namely instant access to bigger stash size (doesn't sound like much but this game can give Tetris a run for its money for inventory management outside of raids...), More starting gear and cash (which you'll lose / replace as you play anyway), higher starting trader rep (saves having to grind a few quests right at the start) and the Gamma secure container - this is probably the biggest advantage but as mentioned above, larger secure containers are available to everyone through the game anyway.

I've only got a standard account and just learnt to be quite brutal with what I keep on my stash and only buy when I need to. The addition of the hideout has definitely added some more longevity / end game purpose as well now which is nice.

Advice for when you're first starting, make the most use of your Scav runs. They're a no loss option that can help you learn the maps and get valuable loot and resources with no drawback if you die; it only has a timer (20 minutes by default) before you can do another Scav run. PMC runs will be hard at the start of the game, don't get disheartened if you die a lot and/or struggle to kill other people - take your time in the raids, move methodically and make the most of any shots you take!

Will get on it.

What size and number of rooms are needed?

Been thinking about getting into it myself.

I reckon maybe 3/4 rooms to start, maybe 5/6 slots, not sure tbh, see how the uptake is after black friday. I really struggle to find people to play this with as I'm a super casual gamer these days.

Could we have a text chat too please?
