Essential Android Apps

Is there a good application to silence calls from certain people? I have just tried Call Blocker Lite, but that mutes the phone and unmutes it for everyone apart from those on the blocked list. The issue with this, is that text and email notifications as well as alarms are muted too, which is a bit useless :(
 
Can someone help me, i know you can but i cant remember where the page is. Basically its an app that lets you change the standard icon for application to a different 3rd party icon if you're going for a specific look.
 
Just moved from a Nokia 5800 to the Desire. Quite impressed over all but...

Three major gripes:

1) The ring volume is rubbish
2) No EQ on music player (found astro player but it doesn't appear to have presets and the interface is a bit buggy.)
3) I liked Nokia's app of telling you who was calling where it interrupts the ringtone intermittently. Only found an android app that talks over the ringtone (which is rubbish.)

I've spent ages browsing the web and market place, are there any free apps to eliminate the above issues?
I grudge having to pay for apps to fix issues that shouldn't be there in the first place!

GTasks is excellent, now my Google Calendar tasks are never going to be missed again!

1: Are you sure the ring volume is set up high? my volume is very loud when on max using decent ringtones (classic ringer).

2: bTunes is supposed to be good.

3: I don't know what you mean by this, do you mean it shows onscreen who is callnig while ringing? Android shows who is calling while ringing anyway and you can choose to decline, answer or forward them to voicemail as standard.
 
Does anyone know of an app which will show data (network) usage for each running application / process? Something is going crazy at the moment, and there's hardly anything installed.

The ones I've found only give a total from data in /proc :(
