I'd say it's just as safe as the Apple app. store, Google can and do remotely pull apps that are malicious.
 
Yep, just tried it but still saying card has already been registered (same card number as previously but different CVV).
 
If I get someone else to buy using their PayPal account, will I be able to use it on my phone, i.e. how does the app authenticate? Or is it just a download link to the APK?

You don't need to have a login for paypal, I don't and just paid with a card online. Just put in card details as per usual, and pow Launcher Pro.

Tried that as well, but it says the card is already registered so then asks me to login.

Seems my card is in some black hole somewhere and I'm doomed to a life of no PayPal. Mind you, this is the only time its been a real pain as I I really want LP Plus!!
 
LauncherProPlus will be on the market from tomorrow. For those that bought via paypal, don't lose your email/confirmation number, you are going to need to enter that in the new version of LPP to unlock it.

There's also a new feature coming to LP (not just pro) and an update to the People Widget. Bookmarks widget coming real soon as is skinning.

Best £2.01 (i think it was) I've spent in ages!

download the free app: SyncMyPix, to get facebook pics to work with the people widget ;)
 
Is launcherpro really worthy of downloading and using as my default launcher when I haven't rooted and have senseUI on my desire?

I've read up a lot on rooting and all the roms etc, but unlike .jailbreaking an iphone to add downloaded apps and control your music, I can't see a reason to actually root my phone. All I can tell is it means I have to download alternatives for things that I already have.

Im confused.

Definitely get LauncherPro, its fantastic.

I haven't Rooted and I don't think I will. There are no real benefits for me, so I will just wait for the offical Froyo release
 
Can someone explain how to get LauncherPro Plus to gather all my contacts images in the People widget? Just lots of blank protraits and I can't figure it out :/
